Homeopathy for dogs - aggravation
Question:

Hi - Im not sure if there ar eany homoeopaths around or anyone thats had experience.
We have a 4 year old black lab thats had failing liver probs since Summer - jaundiced eyes, raised enzymes etc. He was very poorly and had IV fluids etc and steroids intiially and seemed to be improving. Now, 5 months later - our new vet says he still has a raised enzyme and we should consider invasive diagnosis (biopsy) but he doesnt have any treatment - so we decided whats the point then? ( He seemed ok - energy and appetite etc)
Anyway last week we embarked along a homeopathic route and had a hair samply analysed - fascinating and showed various problems - one being a fluke (liver?) so he has various remedies to take very day.
Problem is his old symptoms have returned with avengence - dark urine, loss of appetite, more yellowish eyes - and were really worried. Do we continue or are we making things worse - should we stop?
Cant get hold of anyone cos its ank hol - so wondered if anyone had any experience here or could recommend a vet who uses comp therapy.
i know there can be an aggravation but not sure for how long and what it means and when its not good and is telling us something.

Hi Jan.
Sorry to hear about your sick dog. My vet retired recently, he was a qualified vet, accupuncturist & homeopath. Having him as our vet was great, we always had three ways of attacking any problem. You say you've embarked on the homeopathic route. If you would like a qualified vet/homeopath ring the British Homeopathic Association on 0870 444 3950. They can give details of your nearest qualified vet/homeopath. My retired vet was, I believe, the first in the country but I'm pretty sure there are a fair few now. Hope this helps and good luck.

Hi Jan,
I know that sometimes things can appear to get worse before they get better. It's a pity you can't get hold of your vet to be sure if it's ok or not. If you're still worried and haven't got hold of anyone, you may like to ask on this forum

Good luck, I hope your dog feels a lot better soon. I'll send some Reiki if you like.
