Question:
Does anybody know of anything that can improve the memory?
I have an absolutely terrible memory even so my husband just cannot believe it.
Thanks
i have an ebook "How to develop a Super Power Memory" by Harry Lorayne...its a good book..helped me a bit..but u need to practice..if u want it...i can mail it to u :)
exercises, seriously you can get memory exercises, there are lots of books on this....and use association, ie if you are a picture person in your mind (visual) then for things you need to remember associate it with a picture you can remember.....

Gingko is meant to help, it encourages blood flow to the extremeties and the brain.
However I think it depends on the problem. Is it short term or long term memory that is a problem?
Are you stressed? Stress can play havoc, I know!
You might need to tell us a bit more. For instance, women in particular do so many things every day and we get accused of not having a good memory, but I think the brain can only cope with four or five things at a time (unless you are a man and then it drops down to one at a time):D:D
Think about it. Women do tons. They manage the home, the kids, jobs, the shopping, social arrangements, remember birthdays..... etc etc. Is this you? If so, then you may be being too harsh on yourself.
Why not try making a list of exactly what you DO remember to do. Are you on overload? I once drove straight through a car park barrier that I went through most days and it caused much hilarity. The reason? I had three children in 22 months and two of them were screaming in their car seats at the back of me at the time. Oh ho ho she FORGOT to stop at the barrier. See what I mean?
This will make you laugh, I forgot to come back here and look at the replies.
Anyway, I do suffer from mild depression and anxiety but it's my long term memory that worries me the most.
I can't tell you who was in my class at school (I'm 28) or the names of some of my friends that maybe I haven't spoken to in a couple of years. Even my wedding day I'm starting to forget... it was August 2003.
I get very worried about it as my husband says do you remember this or that and I say 'no' because I just don't remember.
Ginkgo could be a good idea, ive got my mum to start taking it as her memory is appalling and I worry about the onset of Alzheimers for her one day. She hasnt noticed any positive effects on her memory yet (Its only been a month), but she says her feet and hands are warm, they are usually freezing, so its doing her circulation some good at least!
Its supposed to increase blood flow to the extremities (including the brain) and lots of people swear by it, but it can be quite expensive in higher strengths.
Hope this is of some help x
Homeopathic medicine would be a good choice for you. However there is no 'one-size-fits-all' remedies for memory as the whole person is considered in homeopathy and therefore a full consultation would be necessary to get to the root of the problem.
I'd recommend visiting a registered homeopath in your area. The ARH website should be able to help you find one:

Hope this helps
