I was lucky enough to get Silvia Hartmans Advenures in EFT from Santa and all I can say is WOW!!
I have a question which is : How do you think EFT by proxy works and do you think we could all do it for the survivors of th Asian Earthquake to help them at the moment?

How it works exactly isn't known yet. As for the survivors, who knows? I would expect that one would have to tap for each one individually, although it is probably more efficient to help in other ways. But then again that's a long story...
I had a very interesting experience using surrogate tapping recently, where a student felt the presence of someone long gone. We tapped for his unhappiness (David, the presence) and my student no longer felt his presence. What did we really tap for and who benefitted and how did it work? I don't know. All I know is that my student felt the unhappy entity had gone.

In my opinion, it works by proxy for people that you are in some sort of emotional contact with in some way, ie someone you have a photo of that can tell you afterwards if it has worked in some way. If we are going to do proxy work for victims in the disaster, then we would have no way of seeing if it is working.
So, we don't really know if it would be working, but I am sure we could try. Maybe the next person we see on TV who has been struck in some way could be our target for some EFT'ing.
I did ask gary Craig a few months ago, the very same question but not for the Tidal Wave, it was for some other disaster, and he said it would be difficult to measure, as well. But to go ahead and give it a go.

Emotional Freedom Technique
and it kinda does what it says on the tin, teaches a way to be free from emotions that may be a problem or a negative impact etc.
