Oils for chicken pox
Question:

well i managed to avoid getting them from my sister in the summer at the time of my exams but i couldnt hold them off any longer, the bloody things got me and im covered in them!
What oils can i use to help stop the itching and reduce the chances of scarring?
2 i immediatly thought of were lavander and chamomile.......should i make a blend in a base oil or add them the calamine lotion or aloe vera gel?
anything else?

calendula is fantastic at taking the itch away...
you could use that as your base...

I have had great results using lavender and rosehip as a base and ravensara is a must.....used it on my little boy who had them aged 2 and he didnt itch at all and no scarring! i kid you not........Ravensara is the one!

Oohh, they're horrible aren't they. I found that taking Echinacea angustifolia helped greatly. Buy it in a tincture from from herbalists/health food shops. It is specifically indicated from sking problems and generally boosts the immune system. I gave it to my kids when they got CP and after the first crop of spots no more came out!
