Question:
Hi there,
I don't know much about reflexology so would be grateful to know a bit more. I have been given a voucher to have a reflexology treaments which I am looking forward to. Should I just be looking to relax and enjoy or should I be looking at it actually treating me for some aliment. On the whole I am very healthy - although I guess I am a touch stressed at the moment (who isn't at Xmas!)
Advise would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Chrissie
ooh you're lucky to have a voucher!
be open minded, sit back and enjoy! a misconception of complementary therapies, is that one feels they have to have something wrong with them to go and have treatments. not so! apart from the fact that most people probably do have something wrong with them, even minor and certainly stress of some sort or another, people can benefit anyway.
unfortunately many people still see massage and reflexology as a pampering session and yes, whilst it is, it is still therapeutic and should be accepted as such.
the other thing is that everyone wants a quick fix and there aint no such thing. so a one off treatment, whilst very enjoyable, doesnt give a true indication of benfits.
having said all that (phew), you will have a very lovely time and enjoy it enough to think it would be worthwhile perhaps treating yourself even once a month.
do let us know what you thought when you have been :o)
Not a lot to add here Chrissie, except to say what a lovely balancing and harmonising treatment reflexology is. I hope it will be the first of many reflexology treatments for you!
