Question:
Hiya,
This is one for all you qualified Sports Massage Therapists out there!
When you were training, did you have to do a set amount of hours in a clinic, whether it be osteopath, physio, etc etc? If so, did you find clinics helpful when you asked them?
The course I'm going to do requires 30 hours recorded clinic work experience time (mostly observational) and it's the bit I'm most concerned about (at the moment - I'm sure more worries will crop up!)
Thanks
BT

If it's mostly observational, then there seems to be little to worry about.
Also, you'll remember things much better when you can relate real problems to real people. It's the best way to learn and if you come across something new, then you can look it up when you get home, so you'll know for next time. Just be straight up & honest and say that you'll need to check this that or the other. Most resepct honesty and there's nothing wrong in looking stuff up - in the toilet if you have to excuse yourself to do it. :D
Andrew.
Thanks for that Andrew. Luckily we have an osteopath at the Clinic where I work so, hopefully, I'll be OK.... maybe I should keep a secret supply of text books in the toilet :-))
