Question:
Hi everyone
Could anyone reccomend a very good book on Aromatherpy for beginners.
I need some learning in this subject has some oils are used in Indian Head Massage. And I do have a few oils now and would love to know what they can be used for nd how to mix and use them carefully.

i can recommend two very good books
1 louise tucker- an introdutory guide to aromatherapy
2 julia lawless - encylopedia od essential oils
the second one covers more of the oils but both are good in my opinion
Hi Angel
The books that I would recommend are: - A-Z of essential oils by Patrica Davis (very detailed and uses oils that are safe for general use), Neals yard remedies and Aromatherapy for healing the spirit by Gabriel Mojay (this one is more on a spiritual level and perhaps in my opinion the best for Indian Head Massage). Personally for Indian Head Massage I like to use Monoi oil as this conditions the hair and smells divine.

Aromatherapy for Healing the Spirit is the loveliest book and I have used it lots and lots. In fact, I think Sharon (Essence) recommended it to me?:)
It has beautiful photographs in it too and you can dip into it as you like. Definately worth getting!:D
Another good book for beginners is Subtle Aromatherapy - probably good for anybody starting out and worried about dilutions etc. You can always ask us for any help and advice for blends.;)
Wow, these sound some great book, I will look into them on Amazon. One that did catch my eye and I did buy was the one reccommended by missxxhap...julia lawless - encylopedia of essential oils.
Does anyone know of any good aromatherapy web sites. I have tried doing a google search, but all I seem to be getting is info on buying the oil, when really I need info on what to do with them and some info about carrier oils.

Instead of Amazon to to:
http://www.bookbrain.co.uk/
you can get the cheapest books there. Or try:
http://www.abebooks.com/
you can buy really good condition second hand ones there - I have - they are great.
I'll get back to you on the sites. But for now:
http://www.essentiallyoils.com/
they supply and also have newsletters with loads of info.
