reiki and meditation
Question:

Just looking for some comments or suggestions from people with reiki experience:)
I did reiki 2 about 2 years ago now and although I feel it is important to me I have only been using it intermittentely during that time - I work full time and have been training in other therapies so haven't had time at the moment to build on my skills.
I have been particularly bad at making time for self-treating, but it has recently occured to me that maybe I do not need to use the hand positions for this. Additionally I had always had difficulty meditating but I find now that if I call on the reiki for my meditation both seem to work quite well and I can incorporate the distant healing or situations I want to help at the same session and I seem to be able to visualise very well during these sessions. I have also used an aventurine crystal on a couple of occasions.
The only drawback seems to be that my emotions seem to have been heightened and they seem very close to the surface and much more intense than usual. I have had feelings like a huge wave of love/happiness but has been so emotional I can almost feel tears.
Does this sound unusual, should I be using a more grounding crystal, or no crystals at all? Or perhaps the reiki is shifting some blocks that were present? Any help will be most appreciated.

Hi Janey. I can only add that during meditation it is perfectly usual for emotions to come to the surface like this, whether you use Reiki or not. I wouldn't personally worry about it, just let it all out!:D Better out than in.
