Question:
Hi there,
Can any one reccomend a deodorant that I can use on my 9 and 7 year old. I was surprised to discover they both had under arm odurs after a busy day of activities. I do not like the thought of using a spray deodorant as I my self use a under arm stick that is recycable (spelling?). Is there one that is all natural - for their young skin?
Thanks
Chrissie
I noticed when I was in Lush the other day that they sell natural deodorant - not sure if you have a shop near you though. I can check if they do mail order for you if you would like.
Where are you? This store is in Chichester, but they are nationwide.

EDIT
Just checked and they do have a website - www.lush.co.uk!
you could also try one of the various crystal ones made from natural mineral salts, which are available from any decent health food store (although not Holland and Barratt). Names to look for include Pitrok and Crystal Spring, among others. As for the Lush ones, although I use most of their products the deoderants didn't do much for me. Not to say that they wouldn't work for your girls though of course.

Hello DJB,
I have used the lush 'aromaco' deodorant block before which has a patchouli scent, although that is quite a strong perfume, I think it is very subtley used in this product. Lush do quite a range actually which come in various forms: creams, blocks & powder cakes, all with yummy fruits & flowers smells that might really appeal to children!
The other one I use is Pitrok. They produce the crystal, but also a liquid spray form which I think is even more effective, last for ages too.
Hope that helps

I use Toms of Maine available in most health food stores, it is very gentle, contains no aluminium as do anti perspirants! I am bordering on the creative side to create my own - one day!

I tried Toms of Maine some months ago and it didn't work for me, so I took it back to the supermarket where I bought it and got my money back. I also emailed the company who were very concerned. Pitrok has always been good for me.

I use Avalon Organics from Health food shops, all the ingredients are organic, they use essential oils in them, and have different ones, I love the lemon one, very citrus smell, they also do rosemary and lavender.
They are brilliant and smell divine.

Pitrock is brilliant and now you can buy it in Boots. Gillyxxx
I have been using natural crystal stone deodorants for some time now but have just bought the PitRok push up deodorant from Boots and it's great.:)
I have used a deodorant stone for years now and wouldn't use anything else. They are very effective and whittle away to nothing meaning no plastic containers or anything else.
Great ;)
