Question:
I have been given the following Pure Hydrolats (floral water) and I am not sure how to use them.
Frankincense water
Lemon verbena water
Peppermint water
Witchazel Water

I have used hydrolats for some years now so I hope the following helps:
Witch Hazel
Soothing and anti-inflammatory, anti fungal and anti-bacterial. A wonderful toner for teenage skin, as well as a free radical scavenger recommended for anti-aging skin treatments.
Is great in a compress or sitz bath for varicose veins and hemorrhoids, I have found it useful for fungal infections in "delicate" places when no other remedy seems to help. Also great as a compress treatment for bruises and inflamed swellings.
Suzanne Catty says Witch Hazel hydrosol is the most antioxidant of the hydrosols and recommends it for psoriasis, eczema, cracked or blistered skin, for treating insect bites, and as the treatment of choice for varicose veins and hemorrhoids.
Soft and soothing with of course no "alcohol" sting.
Frankinsence
Excellent tonic and skin toner, ideal for mature skin (claimed to have rejuvenating qualities). Also helpful for blemished and scarred skin. Use to refresh your face. Excellent in steam irons for refreshing clothes and scenting linen. Frankincense is traditionally burnt as an aid for meditation - creates 'spiritual' atmosphere just mist around the room.
Peppermint
A mild antiseptic it will gently ease the itch of rashes and stings, a great soothing after shave. It's helpful in combating a hangover, since it both settles the stomach and energizes. Wonderful at settling an upset stomach and added to cold water Peppermint hydrosol is the ultimate thirst quencher. Suzanne Catty recommends its internal use in combating the effects of IBS or Crohn's Disease. (Hydrosols, The Next Aromatherapy). Applied topically either as a spray or with a moist compress, Peppermint Hydrosol is a wonderful "de-itcher" for mosquito bites, or any sort of itching.
A wonderful "spritzer" in the car to both keep the driver alert, and allay any chance of carsickness among the passengers.
I don't use lemon verbena so can't help there, sorry.

I get my hydrolats from either fragrant earth or kobashi, they are wonderful to use.

I buy mine from Tree-Harvest. I have used Neroli and Witch Hazel over the years as a toner and use Lavender for space clearing.
The Neroli is abolutely wonderful............to die for!!!
