Question:
Hiya Guys,[sm=wave.gif]
Hope your all well, healthy & happy! Big hugs to ya all!!
Haven’t posted a msg myself for a while so thought it was about time too!!
I have the opportunity of going to a friends house & doing a fair few reiki treatments!! I will prob do around 6-8 treatments possibly more in one day!! For me this will be by far the most in one day I have EVER done- infact it will prob be most in one mnth!! Lol- But its something I reallllly want to do & am really looking forward to the experience & also the challenge!!
I have decided to do only around 30mins per client-like taster session in a way! mainly so I can fit everyone in & actually manage to have a natter inbetween treatments with some of the girls! As I haven’t met most of them before!
What I am asking is for some input on techniques I could use to ensure I don’t get drained!!
I don’t do reiki shower or anything-but I guess I could learn this now in the next few wks before I go- I am Reiki 2 so I have the symbols which will assist me but I am thinking do I need to do anything else inbetween my clients to just keep me from becoming ungrounded!
Any advise anyone can give me on performing multiple treatments in one day would be very very much appreciated!!
Love & light to ya all!!

I have never done that many. Even 6-8 treatments would be too much for me if only 30 minutes or not.
When you think about it, when you need to do a client consultation it adds on more time and even if you ask someone to fill it in beforehand it is still going to need talked over.
I know I am speaking as someone who doesnt earn their living from reiki but I do 3 hours at work ona Thursday morning and I did 2 hours last night at one of the youth groups I do and I was quite frankly shattered, mentally and physically.
If there is any way that you can do part of the reiki seated I would advise that, please dont underestimate how tiring it can be on your back standing when you have your hands on someone.
Personally, I think you are being asked to do a bit too much, is there any way that this could be split into 2 parts or could you get another reiki person to go with you and split the treatments.

Hiya Pauline,
Thanks for the advise hunny- means alot. Yes i am planning on doing the treatments sitting down-i always do my sessions using a stool as i find it so much better that way!
I dont do reiki as a profession either so this is quite new to me really-i only treat friends & family! But majority of the ladies i will be seeing all have the same medical problem as i do-so i know some of there medical history to begin with- i have already sent info out about reiki & what it entales so they know what it is! but obviously i will still have to go throught details/assesment with them when i meet them-
To be honest at first i thought it would be very easy doing 6-8treamtents in one day but now i am thinking- hummmm! will i get too drained- but i guess i will have to just go with the flow & see how i feel on the day!
I do a physcial job anyway (work in a busy hospital) so am totally used to being on my feet-but i will do the treatments sitting down! i find it easier on my back!!
Thanks for replying to me & giving me some things to think about-
many thanks!!

:DHi Luce21! How are you ?
Hope you well, sounds like things are going good for you ;)
I did loads of taster treatments in a day not long ago and the biggest challenge for me was remaining grounded, I was quite floaty at the end. A really good way of grounding is Kenyoku Ho (dry bathing) and if you can find a tiny amount of time in between treatments is really easy to do :)
right hand on left shoulder (where collarbone and shoulder meet) breathe in and on out sweep your right hand diagonally down and across torso to right hip and off the body. Breathe in again and repeat but with left hand going across to left hip and again repeat with right hand on left shoulder sweeping to right hip. For second half of technique place ben left elbow against your side with forearm held straight out in front (horizontal to ground) and with left flat palm and facing up, place your right hand on top, breathe in and sweep downward along arm past elbow crook and to fingertips and off hand. Repeat with opposite do one more with opposite again and finish with gassho.
I learnt it from the Japanese Art of Reiki book and it really is so good to use. If you go to the international house of reiki website and go to reiki information then try interactive techniques they have a much easier to follow one than my explanation! lol
Best of luck for the day xxxx Reiki blessings, Reikilight xxxx

Hi Luce,
I'm a full-time energy healer and have been known to do 8 Reiki sessions in one day, no problem.
In our association, it is drummed into us from the start that Reiki goes through us and not from us, we don't take anything on, it just goes through us. So basically, get some practice in this way of channelling. It helps if you visualise the Reiki going through the top of your head and out through your feet, like a tap that is constantly on, with your hands allowing this energy to freely flow as weell, into the client. Every time you do a session, Reiki goes through you and you are healed. The only time people get caught out is if they have a lot of self-healing to do and the Reiki brings up stuff that thay need to deal with, in the middle of a client session. But if you have been doing your self-healing and continue doing it daily, you should be fine. You know yourself what you can handle.
You may even find yourself buzzing like the Energizer Bunny at the end of the day! [sm=jump2.gif] [sm=animal-smiley-021.gif] [sm=jump2.gif]
Although an hour is preferable so that the client can get more out of it, I personally find 30 minutes a reasonable length of treatment. Some clients ask for 30 minutes if they don't have an hour. Mini treatments can be 10-15 minutes, as is popular at shows and festivals.

Hi there,
great that you are sharing Reiki with all these ladies, helps to build up your confidence and spreads the word of Reiki lol!
Isee between 10-13 clients forhalf hour sessions in a day when working at the local council and it can be physically tiring on the back and legs but I am full of 'energy' by the end as I have had up to 13 'top-ups' myself!
I would advise you to be fully protected and grounded before you start and to remember to ground yourself during the day ( I imagine tree roots running out from my feet and bring the energy through them into the earth). If you find it hard to visualize the light coming through your crown then imagine yourself standing underneath a lampost with the light beaming down on top of your head. It's when we push our own energy in the session that makes us tired.
Good luck and let us know how you got on
Love and light

Hi Luce
I can only share my experience. Me and my partner have done 16 sessions in a day a few times now, when we heal at our local health food shop. We find that we are "buzzing" after the treatments and not at all drained from giving so many treatments. If anything, we have more energy than we did when we started.
If you would like to discuss ways of ensuring the energy you are using is not your own, please pm me.

some good advice thereand i would lik eto add to it.
the most i have done in a day of reiki is 38 in one day tasters and it is REALLY important to dis-connect from each person that you have worked on.
if you do not then you may pay the price.
enjoy, relax, ,make yourself comfortable and above all enjoy

Hi Luce,
I consider that You have received excellent advice and guidance already.
In easy to utilise form I would suggest:
1. Start wisely. Ground and protect Yourself before You begin, be at peace and calm.
2. Cleanse the working space and Yourself before You begin. Feel comfortable and create a safe space for the client. Place the Sei He Ki around You.
3. Remain a channel (as N A L says) and avoid "giving of Yourself".
4. Explain to each person that You are limited in time to discuss too much on the day. Suggest that they makes notes of feelings, sensations and questions and give then Your e mail addy so they can ask You at another time of anything that comes up for them.
5. Speak with Your guides and TELL THEM that You wish to be a channel only, that way they'll nudge You one way or t'other if You start giving off Yourself.
6. Centre and ground Yourself between clients.
7. Cleansethe room and Yourself between clients. You may care to wash Your hands and face, and smudge through Your aura with incense, diluted myrhh or francinsense.
8. Don't compromise Yourself. Schedule time to eat and drink plenty of water.
9. Try to avoid asking the client if they felt the energy or anything else that would gratify Your own position in any way, no matter how subtle. When we do this we literally steal the Light we have channelledback for our self. Keep it simple, smile, be peaceful, give, give, give, give, silently, mindfully, and all-knowingly. Utilise the Reiki Love and Power very wisely.
10. Thank each client for allowing You to "give to them".
Good Luck Dear One, keep up the good work.

UPDATE:-
Hiya guys,
Thanks so much for all of the advice! i did my reiki treatments yesterday! I only did 4 treatments in the end as some of the ladies needed to get away & couldnt stay to have them done! The treatments themselves went really well- i wasnt drained in the slightest! i actually felt very relaxed but not wiped or like i had been draining myself!
I decided to follow every single bit of advice u gave- i sent a huge intention to the reiki at the beginning of the day & also inbetween every treatment! i asked for only reiki to be channeled and that i am not to give any of my own energy away! i asked for my reiki guide to assist me during this and if i needed topping up to do so inbetween the treatments!! well it worked!! i felt very grounded througtout the treatments too- which is actually a huge thing for me coz i can become ungrounded very easily! but wooohooo-lol-
I got so much out of it and i was pleased i could offer these lovely ladies reiki! infact i have 2 of the 4 ladies interested in doing reiki course with me!! hummmmmm! lol- better hurry up and do my masters-lol-role on oct!! hahaha!
Big hugs & thanks again for everythin!!
