Question:
Hi all
I have done Reiki 2 and have tried various different methods of distant healing, none of which seem to 'sit' very well with me. Wondered whether people would mind sharing any techniques they use.
Many thanks.

Good morning White Light,
When I first started Reiki I stuck rigidly to the system of either using a Teddy to represent the person or had a photp to focus on. Over time and with more and more people requesting distant healing this method took too long!
When I joined a Reiki share group we solved this by having one exercise book for CR and one for SHK. Now we write the names of the people we want to send to in the appropriate book (which has the appropriate symbol on the front cover). We visualise the symbol over the book and then request healing be sent to all those named in the book and then say 'Reiki on' and send until we feel it's time to stop. Then we request that the healing be for the highest good of all and it to continue until we meet again. Once finished we clap 3 times to disconnect from the people.
At home I have changed again how I send . I read somewhere on Reiki forum somebody say they have a Reiki distance box which I thought was a brilliant idea!. I have a lovely pink box that had one of my Christmas presents in it. I drew all three symbols on the inside of the lid in gold gel pen. You then write the names of the people you want to send to and 'post' them in your box (I do 1 symbol at a time). I then hold the box in my hands and send the energy to the box so it can link with the names in there. I am finding this is the best method for me at the moment, hope it helps

Hi,
How about this as the simplest version I can think of:
(1) Focus your attention on the recipient
(2) Feel your self merging with them, becoming one with them
(3) Allow the energy to flow; feel yourself disapearing into the energy and merging with it
Best wishes,
Hi White Light and Reiki Angel,
Please use whatever method feels 'right' to you.
Some people just write the names of those requesting jealing on a piece of paper and REiki the piece of paper. They carry the paper with them and, if they have a spare moment, they can Reiki it - and the names on it - at any time.
If you wish to make a ritual of the distant healing process using special books, or special boxes, or crystal grids then it is up to you.
Just thinking of someone with love and compassion is sending healing.
I send you both Reiki, knowing that whatever method you choose will be the very best method for each of you.
I'm with Taggart on this one though I use a slightly different technique
(1) I state my intention to energetically connect to the healee
(2) Ask permission of their higher selves
(3) Then I perform a healing as though they where hear, which they are since we are all one in the energy
You might find it helpful to remove the distance part of the equation from you mind when doing it :-)
Hi White Light
I have sent distant healing since being attuned to Reiki 1, no-one told me I couldn't do it so I did it and it worked! I use two methods:
1. I write the name(s) of the person(s) requesting Reiki on a piece of paper and hold it in my palms. I draw/say in my mind the three symbols then ask for Reiki to be sent for the highest good then read out the names. I then close my hands around the paper and send until the Reiki stops flowing (usually about 15 mins).
2. I sometimes do a full treatment using a teddy at a prearranged time with a client, when they are able to lie down and relax for about an hour or so. Using this method I usually get feedback as if I were doing a hands-on treatment.
Both methods seem to get results.
As everyone else has said - find a method that you feel comfortable with and go for it.
Most of all, and I'm surprised Paul Reiki didn't say it ;), DON'T WORRY!
Who's worried?
Thanks Poppet.:D:D
