Question:
Hi everyone
Next weekend I'm going to Wales for a wedding, we're staying in Lampeter. I was just searching online to see if there are any crystal shops near there ... a book shop called Cygnus Books came up, but I think they may only sell books about it, rather than actual crystals.
Do any of you live around this area, and could you let me know of any places(crystal shops)worth visiting?

I do believe there is a crystal shop either in or quite near to Lampeter, I forget their name for the moment – but I should be able to look them up in my very, very long list at home tomorrow… will post info if I find it… Though I have a nagging feeling they were a wholesaler and may not be much help – they brought in a lot of American stuff and Native American Indian type goods if I recall right…

I'm skint now anyway [&:]but maybe someone will treat me for my forthcoming birthday if there's anything I like! :D
I don't know the Lampeter area at all, but within about an hour's drive there's Sha-Ka-Ree in Ammanford (couldn't find a website) and Earthlight Crystals in Llanidloes ()
Sol, were you perhaps thinking of Latitude Imports in Llanidloes? I get the impression that they are wholesalers and supply many places in the area and beyond.

Hi everyone
Well I've returned from my trip to Lampeter. Had two trips to shop called Our Style and got lots of nice things! They didn't sell a huge amount of crystal items but had some really nice things for quite a small shop. Lee treated me to a lovely (quite large) selenite sphere which he's holding on to til the end of the month when it's my birthday ... I also got a little opalite pig, a tigers eye tiger, a black onyx panda, a pietersite wand and two little rough chunks of amethyst which unfortunately got melted chocolate stuck inside its gaps on the journey home!!
The place we stayed in was really lovely and I can't wait to go back there!
Talking of crystal animals ... I believe different animals mean different things when they're made of crystal? Does anyone know anything about their meanings? I have one book which recommends a pig made of whatever for one thing, and a tortoise made of something else for another problem and so on.
Can anyone spread any light on this?
