Hi to all, A prostrate cancer question
Question:

Hi to you all
I congratulate you on a great forum (and one that is exactly as it states... it is amazing what passes for aromatherapy out there in other forums) I have just spent the entire afternoon reading each & every page, and must say I am hooked... I am a big fan of aromatherapy and will always use it rather than visit my GP for one of his Co-codamol prescriptions. I have jsut about every oil imaginable, love mixing my own blends.... hey and dispite being 40, not a wrinkle in sight, so I guess I am doing something right. I am self taught but am about to start a diploma in aromatherapy to gain a qualification.
My main reason for coming into your forum is that I have a dear friend who has prostrate cancer, which has spread in to his bones, whilst he is very positive and has wonderful support around him,a wonderful wife, greatfamily and supportive friends, he does have his down days, and days when he suffers terrible pain in his legs. I was wondering if there is any way in which essential oils would benefit him and make these not so good days more bearable, but at the same time be safe for him to use.
Thanks
Alexia

Many prostate cancers may be testosterone dependent, so it may be necessary to avoid taking anything that can raise testosterone levels. Research suggests that a quality progesterone cream may be the most potent therapy for preventing prostate cancer. When using essential oils, it is important toensure that they are medicinal/therapeutic grade, and not synthetic or diluted. Oils to use include: Orange, tangerine, ledum, Idaho balsam fir, frankincense, myrrh, cumin, sage, tsuga (hemlock).
For bone cancer, oils to use include: Frankincense, Sandalwood, Clove, Tsuga (hemlock).
massage 50:50 dilution on location, and on spine 2-4 times daily.
Apply 2-3 drops frankincense neat along the spine 3 times daily
The blend below helped to reduce PSA (prostate specific antigen) counts over 70% in a 2 months period.
10 drops frankincense
5 drops myrrh
3 drops sage
Application:
Ingestion 3 times daily (ensure oils are suitable quality / safe for internal use, if in doubt please PM me and I can recommend some)
dilute in 1 tbsp. vegetable oil for rectal retention, nightly
rub 1-3 drops of the above blend , neat, on the Vita Flex reproductive points (ankles) on both feet, 2 times daily.
dilute 50:50 and apply 2-4 drops on the area between the rectum and scrotum 2 times daily.
I would also recommendensuringvitamin B level are kept up, and going on a cleansing program.
With regard to the pain in the legs massage birch or wintergreen neat on location. Also may be worth checking alignment.
Hope this helps.
Rich
