Question:
Hello All,
As sports/remedial therapists/ body workers, etc, etc we have various professional bodies to choose from. I am aware ofdiffering opinions expressed on this siteregarding various strengths and weaknesses and find these insights very useful. However, I think it would also be useful to have a definitive and concise list detailing all our options:
I have listedthose I am aware of belowand would appreciate it if anybody would add any I have missed.
SMA -
STO -
FHT -
SST -
Thanks
I would add
ISRM -
LCSP -
Both have been discussed on earlier threads as alternatives to SMA (although strictly LCSP is a 'remedial massage' organisation rather than a 'sports massage' organisation).

hi all.
if we are to include both the society of sports therapists and the sports therapy organisation,
in this list it is worth pointing out that the roles of their members is more than just as sports massage therapists. (not that in itself that is a bad thing - before i upset anyone!!) but in which case what about BASRAT, who validate the sports rehabilitation degree programmes?
should they not also be included?
anyone aware of their stance on some of the vast topics covered already on these threads??
cheers,
simon.
