The healers are healed through their suffering
Dominic
Do what? How can a healer be healed through their suffering? Wouldn't healers go to other healers to be healed?

What kind of journey are you on?
I respect that we all have our way of thinking in this life but I for one go to other healers and I suggest you go and see one before the depression you are in gets any worse.
I have read many of your posts and feel you need some guided help, where you choose to get that is of course your business but you certainly give the rest of us some negative answers!! [&:]
Reiki love and lots of healing coming your way!! :)[sm=hug.gif]

Its a good question because us therapists are as human as the clients we face every morning. We suffer the same anxiety, the same panic and the same sadness yet we are asked to heal like we are void of any such emotion.
We're trained at recognising counter-transference yet its inevitable that at some time our theraputic tendancies will absorb some of the clients emotions.
On HP, you find lots of thoughts, blessings and hugs being forwarded around to the people that need them but we all have individual sadness in our lives (at sometime or another).
I think just having a forum for therapists and the like helps dissolves some negativity that we hold within - plus we gain friends and contacts within the healing field.
If we ever did need therapy for therapists, I think we are all in the right place!
Blessings.

Was just coming back here to edit my post and add this, I was just spilling some chocolate powder when this popped into my head! :) Thanks
Sorry ... just had to make sure that was on here induplicate...cause I beleive that this is very true.
I asked the question as I have been speaking to alot of other therapists lately that just don't seem to have the time for themselves...saying they are far to busy with one thing or another...then laughing when adding..."you know what I want is a really good therapist" "present company accepted of course":) but, that just got me thinking...who heals the healers...Mmmm interesting.
Andi spilling chocolate powder...tut tut [sm=nono.gif] to precious to me doing that

I feel comfort in the fact that I'm beginning to make a circle of friends that are all therapists, all do differing variations of theraputic work and are genuine and honest.
We need us much therapy (if not more!) than our clients.
Blessings.
Hi all.
With Reiki a healer heals themself.
BUT it is always so much nicer to receive healing from someone else. That is why I run a support/share group ;).
It is always wise to allow time for oneself - even to the point of booking the time in the appointments diary either as prime time off or an appointment with another therapist. This is what my wife and I do to ensure that we get the therapeutic treatment we feel we need.
Happy healing
Hi Paul, I totally agree. I started seeing a therapist nearly two years ago, and this lady is much more than just a therapist in so many ways.
I realised shortly after I started seeing her that I needed this time for me, a time to honour myself, to understand myself, as part of a journey in understanding who I truly am. The money I pay this lady is 110% worth it, especially as I feel she is helping me immensly on a path of healing, and for me that first and foremost is about healing myself and understanding the essence of who I am. It is not about anything else. Out of this understanding I will have the ability of better serving the world in a postive way. I asked Spirit to lead me to a teacher that would be in the best interests of my higher self, and she appeared!
We all need support on our spiritual journey, therapists giving other therapists treatments ought to be the norm. I gladly pay money for something as worthwhile to the soul as the treatments I receive, as it is bringing me closer to who I am at my core, and not to mention that I feel I'm important enough to give my soul such spiritual nourishment.
We don't think anything of going to the hairdressers and paying for a hair cut, yet a lot of us don't think it's important enough to nourish the soul, and I can't think of anything so familiar as being bathed in beautiful spiritual light.
I totally agree that the healer heals himself, but we all need a helping hand, and one of my spiritual lessons is to accept help in whichever form it comes, and that can come in many ways. I don't think we're supposed to do it all on our own.
P.S I had to come back and edit it as I've just received the message "We are not supposed to be doing this work in isolation". This is a time of community and working together, moving away from separation". I then got an image of the thymus chakra, turquoise in colour, and the chakra of group soul consciousness, that is now becoming active in people.
Love and light
