Hi essence, couple of sugguestions for you;
Modern neuromuscular techniques by Leon Chaitow churchill livingston isbn
o-443-05298-0 Can be a bit heavy going at times for us mere massage therapists but brilliantly lays out the history and developement of numerous idiologys and varying approaches to this truely invaluable treatment.
The trigger point therapy workbook by Clair Davies is another good book in much easier reading format designed to promote self treatment, but also a good read for the therapist.
I would very much encourage any therapist to study as much as posible these techniques as they produce such good results.
regards steve
Hi stephen jeffrey
Many thanks for the suggestions. I already have the leon chaitow book and agree that although heavy going in parts its an excellent read. I was really looking for something of that depth but solely on trigger points, is the book by claire davies as in depth?I have been a practitioner for 10 years now and have done various courses on nuromuscular techniques and Muscle energy techiniques and some on trigger points but would like a good book to help me remember some of points that I don't use that often.
Once again thanks for your help
love and light

Hi essence The book by Clair Davies is only £9.99 and does have detailed drawings of trigger points.Which is all very usefull as a guide only.
As for exactely where these nasty[:@] points lie its always best to use your own palpation skills to identify the exact spot to apply pressure.
