Question:
...The International College of Crystal Healing in Canterbury? Really they would be my nearest course provider as I live in Kent, but they just don't seem to be very contactable??!?
Their website hasn't been updated since 2005, which I didn't take as a very good sign, they seem to have no e-mail address either. I've just left a message asking someone to contact me about courses, so let's see if anyone responds.
There seems to be a huge force trying to stop me doing this qualification :(I'm sure there's a good reason for me needing to wait, but it's really frustrating because I want to do it so badly!!!!
Does anyone else come from round Kent or South East London and know of any other places I could study it? I want to get qualified to practice but I'd rather not have to travel into SW London in order to do it [8D]
Oh bless your heart Yarnie [sm=hug.gif]
But maybe you should be listening to your 'higher self' if something is trying to tell you not to do the course at the moment ~ then there's possibly a good reason for it.
Just a suggestion but why not get yourself a book or two about crystal healing: Crystal Wisdom by Andy Baggott & Morningstar ISBN: 0-780749 918736 and Crystals & Crystal Healing by Simon Lilly ISBN :9 781859 676240 are two little books that I would recommend for 'beginners'
Have you a good crystal shop(s) nearby? If so, pop in have a good look through the crystals, pick up the ones that 'call to you' believe me you'll know what I mean when you start looking, ask questions to the staff, if they don't know then maybe they have a book or two that they can refer to.
Lastly, when you do take home your crystals run them under cold water to help wash off any negative vibes they may have picked up in the shop, let them dry naturally, and when you're ready find a nice quite spot and sit quietly with each crystal and 'listen' to what it has to share with you.
You will know when the time is right for you to do a course ;)
Many blessings

Hi Yarnie
Okay, I have good news and bad about the International College of Crystal Healing in Canterbury; the good is that it's part of ACHO but the bad is that it only offers postgrad courses ie. for people who already have the diploma that takes two years to complete! However, I would hope that they would be able to refer you on to another college reasonablynearby.
If you want to do the full two year course, I'd suggest you look here:
ACHO:
Spiritual Venturers:
CHF:
Hope that's helpful,
Luna
Thanks to both of you for your advice. Kachina, I do actually have loads of books about crystal healing, and quite a fair few crystals, but I took your advice as an excuse to go and buy some more! I went to two shops yesterday, spent a fortune in one of them. Bought Crystal Prescriptions, which I've wanted for ages, a book about crystal healing for animals, and one called the Secrets of American Indian Crystal Healing or something along those lines. Also had some labradorite pieces screaming out to me, so I bought myself a piece of that too.
I don't think I do enough meditating on crystals, I always go for guided meditation CDs, maybe they don't offer enough freedom to my mind.
I wondered if anyone here has any of those CDs where each track is written to the vibration of a certain crystal? I have a couple of those, I really like listening to them, but do you think it matters if, for example, you use a piece of labrodorite to look at while you listen to the track entitled "amethyst"?!!! I don't want to send me energy field all over the place! :D
Thanks Luna for responding about Canterbury too. I'll take a look at those links :-)
