Question:
hello all,
I have become interested lately in Cranio Sacral Threapy.
However I feel I am quite ignorant about the subject.
Once an osteoptah did cranio sacral work on me but to this day I cannot say wether it did something or not, because he also did some classic osteopathy to correct the alignment of my vertebras and that improved my condition.
I tried finding a book on the subject but it looks like none exist.
Hence me asking you:
what do you know about it? have you had treatments? do you practice it? please tell me why you believe in this therapy!
thank you all.
Hi,
John Upledger has written books on CST, but in my view, they can be heavy going. My favourite book is by Dan Cohen (An Introduction to Craniosacral Therapy: Anatomy, Function and Treatment)as he explains a bit about the history and give more detail onthe therapy and its techniques.
I only know a little about it, it can be a vast subject. the Upledger Institute has a web site: .
I have used some of the techniques in combination with massage and Reiki and I believe that it can be a very powerful treatment when administered correctly -I had a treatment a few years ago that left me in a very poor emotional state and it put me off it for quite a while. Since then I have met teachers who use it differently and I've learned a huge amount from them.
Good luck with your search.....
