Does anyone know whether the examiner wants to see a client profile formfor the person we use in the practical exam or just their Consultation form (medical history)? :eek:
Also what would you put for this question?
WHAT IS THE BEST PRACTICE WHEN TAKING PAYMENT FROM A CLIENT UNDERTAKING A COURSE OF TREATMENT?
A) Take full payment at the end of the course
B) Take payment each time the client comes for treatment
C) Take payment for the whole course in advance
D) Take payment only if the course of treatment has been successful
I think its C but I' really not 100%
Any sugesstions would be much appreciated x

An examiner will only deal with what is required of the question.
With regards to your client profile I would imagine it shoulddeal with all the medical history and the treatments given to date. This would then give the examiner evidence that would show how you fully conduct yourself as a therapist and what considerationsyou havetaken to the type of treatment to recommend because of the history. You may feel nervous but they like good examples of a client that has a lot of info to offer as it can cover a lot of areas to pass you onin the one profile. But so long as you have dealt with the client sufficiently and covered yourself from the personal liability side they will be satisfied. Its also about knowing your therapies limitations and when it is the right timing to say 'no' I cant treat this person right now for whatever the reason. Does that make sense?
The 'Best Practise' one ......love these questions as not only does it teach you to give a good service with sensible business solutions but it also deals with self value. How do you deal with asking a client for a lump sum of money in advance?
Unfortunately I am a librian and I can see good reason in one or two of those answers.
C) because once they are booked and paid for so they will arrive everytime until all the course is complete.
but then you have people that are short of cash so B) might be more appropriate for them.
Don't ask me on that one for your exam as this is also personal for your own business and how you deal with it outside the exam may be different but what you need is the expected answer as taught.
