Question:
Hi All
I treated two people with Reiki last night. One was my Reiki Master and the other was a friend of hers who I have met briefly before. Both treatments were really successful, but there were a couple of things that came up that I wonder about.
My Reiki Master admits that she hasn't been doing enough self-healing because a recent stressful set of circumstances. She recently suffered and unexpected family bereavement.
She found the treatment to be very calming overall. However, I discovered that her sacral area had problems (I felt quite dizzy and sick when treating this area - I almost lost my balance). I am not quite sure what to relate this to - I just made sure I treated this area for quite a long time.
Any ideas?
With the second lady I had some kind of message come up about "walking away" (this was when I was treating her feet). I don't usually get any messages, or see any "visions", so this was quite odd to me, and I wasn't really sure how to deal with it. At the end of the treatment, we talked and I brought this up with her in the gentlest way I could. I couldn't help but feel that she had some family issues that she wasn't letting go of. She got quite emotional and really really wanted to know more about what this meant.
I asked my Reiki Master, who then came in to help me. She then asked for guidance (she also used a pendulum over the foot where I had experienced the message). We seemed to get some very definite answers with the pendulum. Without going into too much personal stuff about this lady, the message seemed to have come from a close family member who had died, but who was telling her to "walk away" from the rest of the family members who were causing her heartache and suffering.
When this was happening, we all experiences shivers and felt quite icy cold.
This lady got very emotional, but in a positive way, as if she has been told "OK, it's time to let go now". It was as if she had been given some kind of permission.
My question is: When the message came to me about "walking away" - it was really something that happened in a split second. It wasn't anyone else's voice I heard (e.g. a man, as the family member was male). Yet it didn't seem to be something that I was saying, or had thought up myself.
This may be my own self-doubt creeping in, I'm just not sure where I got this from.
I am very aware of Reiki flowing through me when I'm treating someone, or myself, but this seemed very new to me.
Does anyone else get any kind of messages? And if so, how do they manifest themselves?
I hope that this makes sense - your help and advice is, as always, great appreciated.
Jane
Hi again
Just read this through and realised that there was one other point I didn't make. Although I was a bit nervous of bringing the "walking away" thing up with this lady, at the same time I felt that I had to say it, as if it would have some real importance to her.
I hope that this isn't irresponsible?
Jane
Hi Jane
It is quite normal to receive information when channelling but the difficulty is knowing what is for your info to help with the treatment and that which is for the person you are treating but if you get a strong impulse to share then it is usually right to share what you have been told or perceived.
We do not always need to understand, but just acknowledge it and go with the flow or it is easy to misunderstand if we start to analyse what is coming through.
