Question:
Hi - does anyone have any tips on the best way to perform a four handed massage. Some say it's best to be synchronised with your colleague and one person take the lead while the other follows, others say one therapist starts at the "top" and the other the feet. I must admit that I find it quite limiting to be synchronising with the other therapist as it takes the spontenaity out of the massage but I wonder what feels best when you're the client? Any ideas?
Hi Jojo!
I have participated in both a four and six hand massage while training...both on the giving and receiving end...It truelly is an amazing experience to recieve! As a theapist while receiving massage im always on the look out for new strokes, but while receiving with multiple hands I just let go and recieve. Giving was great fun...I got on very well with the other therapists, we used intuitition, an odd nod and managed to create a onderful experience. We mimicked strokes on either side of body to start, than one upper body and one to lower.

Hi JojoI have to agree with Candy it is a wonderful way to receive and give massage, it is best for the therapists to synchronise so one does the left leg whilst the other does the right, if the strokes are in sync then it makes the whole thing heavenly :-)
Recently trained in No Hands Massage and have had six hands on one before now, wonderful technique and lovely to watch everyone synchronised.. that's the one to learn if you want a course for this.. During the Practitioner course they had 6 people working on one person, incredible..
I have often thought about seeking our four handed massage..........however, it's a bit expensive as a client :D
your comments have certainly made me feel that I should seek it out someday soon...........
Cheers

Justine - *that* Justine? I think we were in the same group - Mel's group - for practitioner last month....?
Um - erm - guilty as charged - now looking at your posts I would guess this is Angela?
Did you see those guys swarming over the lady who has ME? Or were you being a good little clients with your eyss shut and head down? Have you decided if you're going to do the advanced?
Spot on!
When I was a client I saw nothing - although there was at least five people working on Jo at one point as well, which I saw.
Haven't decided yet - there is a lot going on here and I'm not completely sure I can afford it, but I would really love to - are you going?
Oh - have you had a 'post course' email from them this time? I was half expecting one by now but haven't had anything as yet.
