Has anyone used Propolis Tincture??
Question:

Hi, I am in my mid 30's and have started to get quite bad acne, this is not like teenage acne where you get a spot and it goes down after a couple of days, these are farily painful quite large spots that take days to come up as if they are quite deep seated. Anyway I have been working in a hospital and shared a lift with a very kind nurse (I think) who out of the blue suggested that I treat these with Propolis Cream. I did some research on the internet and found out that Propolis is produced from Bees and is a natural antibiotic that can be taken orally or applied to the skin, thing is I could only find Propolis Tincture in the shops to buy (Neals Yard Remedies). The people in the shop weren't really very helpful when I asked how to apply and I have found very differing results when looking around the internet, can anyone make any suggestions as to how to use the Propolis Tincture to treat this acne??
Many Thanks

The first site has loads of different bee-product items including propolis cream.
Try contacting local beekeepers or shops in the London area from this link:

I add 4-5 drops in a glass of warm water and drink it or gargle, if I have a cut I just put some on a cotton bud and apply it neat to the wound.

So Magno you use it neat?? Does it stain or anything? The people at Neals Yard said that it should be diluted, but they didn't seem to be that convincing, hence my request on here, does it help on the cuts?

Answers:

Hi,
I use it neat on my cuts and have not had a problem with staining, it can be diluted if you have a sensetivity to it, try a spot test on your skin somewhere not so visable and see what happens.
I find it helps greatly with cuts as it is antibacterial and a natural antibiotic.
