Question:
Hi everyone,
I have been reading the forums for a long time now and thought i would post my first thread!
As i live overseas at the moment it is difficult for me to complete a ACHO Crystal Course. I have been studying and practicing Crystal healing for quite some time now but i would be uncomfortable to practice on clients (not friends!) without some kind of qualification.
Any suggestions? Is a qualification needed? or is that just required for insurance purposes? is there any Crystal Healers that heal without qualifications?
Feedback and suggestions most welcome:)Thanks for reading!

Hello Catseye and welcome to HP!
As HP is very much international, perhaps if you tell us where you're based someone might be able to suggest a suitable organisation or course where you are?
IMHO it'sextremely unwise to practice on the general public without qualifications and insurance. It's quite possible that clients will ask to see your certificates and proof of insurance - I certainly do!
Some ACHO course tutors do teach abroad, so I'd suggest you keep checking on the websites.
Good luck with your search.
depends what you do. For example, my reflexologist has no crystal healing qualificafion but did a short workshop and she incorporates this into her reflexology when she treats me....
You know, if you are qualified in another therapy, it can be done: you can add crystal healing at the end of the therapy...
As for insurance, to be honest, I wonder if you really need one and if this is not more the persuasion of insurance companies that we need insurance for everything. I do believe in crystals but really: what could go so wrong in a crystal healing session other than droping a big crystal cluster on someone's head? Just make sure you don't treat pregnant women and you should be fine.
Alternatively: Purple Flame crystal healing does a 3 or 4 days training/ coursethat allows you to claim insurance and have the certificate, so maybe you could come to the UK just for these days..??
