Advice on "Violation of Boundaries" Please Anyone ?
Question:

Hi :)
I recentlyfound this fascinatingphrase “Violation of Boundaries”in the excellent article plus URL quoted below,as hopefully (!)itsounds very much the same as open and tight auras/ energy fields ?
I’m not a practitioner or anything but about a year ago I was told by a Reiki master during a general open to all meditation evening that my aura was very tight into my body. Unfortunately these sessions are no longer being held and I’ve lost contact with him but it was the veryfirst time I'd ever heard of it. Although it’s only a guess I’m nowbeginning to think he was right and that it’s been pretty tightly closed all my life as I had very little physical or mental privacy throughout childhood. Obviously I'd really like to find out what’s happening simply because I’ve never known anything else. I’ve tried the grounding techniques suggested in the quoted article and I certainly feel a lot freer and relaxed which at least means something's happening, but I’m still not aware of any energy fields or whether it’s closed, tight, open or anything. Is there any method or wayto become aware of any movement and presumably feel it opening or at least relaxing justa little ? At the moment I’m just concentrating on grounding all the time which does help a bit.
Quote :
The following story illustrates how to actively work with your aura in daily life. It comes from a twenty-five-year-old corporate secretary who is a highly clairsentient (acutely developed sense of empathy) and has practiced aura healing for one-year. She had difficulty with a boss who constantly intimidated her; she felt his energy pushing out her own feelings and thoughts, leaving her speechless and vulnerable in his presence. She described this situation as a “violation of boundaries,” but she has now learned to use her aura as positive protection during these episodes.
“The biggest aura revelation for me was discovering that the ways in which I had always tried to protect myself (being defensive, withdrawn, shut down, and angry) were energy drains in and of themselves, and that my boss was still able to “get in” and drain my energy. The discovery of being grounded, being aware of my auric field, keeping my auric field grounded, and having healthy energy circulating through my aura literally changed my experience of life. Now I truly feel safe and protected, and I am almost immediately aware when someone or something is trying to violate my boundaries - or if I'm ungrounded, energetically unprotected, or vulnerable. I feel like a different person than I was a year ago.”
(See halfway down - “A Positive Protection” third paragraph.)
Really grateful for any help or advice at allplease !
Thanks :)

Peter,
There is a simple exercise designed to allow the aura to relax and expand. Do this exercise at home at first and perhaps, as your confidence increases, whenever you feel it may help in any given situation.
To expand the aura, Relax..take a few deep breaths..do any light protection work you might do... For example,
ask for Angels, your Angels, your Guides and higher beings of light to form a circle of light and protection around you as you work. If you ask and it is a universal law that you must ask, then everything you need to assist and protect you will be provided. Trust and then believe and then know that this is true.
Centre your energies, Calm the mind. Send away any energy which is not yours back into the universe and call all your own energy back to you. You do not need to know, or worry about, how to do this. The intent is sufficient.
Clear the mind again. Breathe. On the in breath, imagine you are breathing in light. White or Gold light is fine. On the out breath imagine your are breathing that light into your Aura, like blowing up a balloon. Imagine your Aura expanding as you breathe out.
Remain calm and centred. As you feel more relaxed and the tension shifting in the neck and shoulders imagine your aura expanded and you are in this bigger bubble of light. You are safe. Protected. Stay in this cocoon of light for a while and then slowly and calmly return to an outer directed reality, as you are ready.
Hope that helps. This exercise is very usefulfor any type of spiritual growth work. To grow spiritually it is good that we expand rather than contract. Also look into any meditations for working with and opening the chakras as these are the energy transformers which help us to gain physical, emotional, mental and spiritual balance and harmony.
All the best :)

Hi Bryan
Thank you for the very interesting advice and help, I shall definitely try it tonight :) Do you everhave people visit youwith tight auras for some sort of healingthen ?
And I know everyone's different and continued practice is everything, but in your experience for the average person is it usuallya long process ? Say 2 or 3 months perhaps ?
Anwayreallycurious to know what it will feel like so will let you know how it all goes :D
Thank you again

Hi again Peter,
I do quite a lot of healing work andalso teach and attune others to Reiki andteach channeling and meditation. My work is to assist othersin connecting with their spirituality.
All spiritual growth work involves expanding and altering the aura to hold more light and to helpraise ourconsciousness.
Most people have blockages at some layer or layers within the aura. The main problemswhich hold back ourspiritual growthare resistance, fear and personality issues which are based onour emotional and mental perspective on life as an "individual" being separate from everything else.
The ideas of"separateness"are at physical, emotional and mental (personality) levels and cease at spiritual levels. Our work then in spiritual growth is to address and master or work through these levels of experience so we can become fully conscious at the spiritual level. Our work on Earth is then complete.
Many people have their emotional "dramas" and their "stories" which act as blocks to moving forwards in their growth. These have to be seen and understood for what they are before they can move on and this is where forgiveness is the key lesson.
Then, atthe personality level our sense of "I" and what"it" believes, hopes, fears, desiresand identifies with are the blocks we have to overcome. The key here is surrender and trust.
Only then can we begin to work at mastering the spiritual body.
So, I wouldn't worry too much about tight or closed aura's etc. Just accept yourself as you are and begin some work on mastering your emotional and mental bodies. The key here is meditation asthis allows us to objectively observe ourselves without too much guilt, judgmentand desire. We just accept our stories and their emotions, our desires, hopes and fears etc and allow them to be.
You will find the meditation I gave you will help you to expand naturally at your own pace. There's no rush.
How much time varies with each person in their ability to work with their consciousness and howflexible and willing they are to deal with and master their energy.
Good luck in your journey. You will go far. :)
All the best

Hi Peter,
As well as the good advice here, have you thought of getting a Reiki healing? I have noticed that clients' auras change after a healing, and this also applies to a too-tight aura. Having said that, usually the aura is too tight from the head to the hips, and then it is normal afterwards. Grounding, although I don't think you do it this way, is often mistaken for willing the energy from the hips down to ground in order to feel like the upper part. The trick is to allow the upper part to fill. This often happens in one Reiki session, but afterwards the client may feel strange, as they are not used to this, and it may bring up a few emotions for healing. If that happens after your Reiki session, just go with it and let it happen. A few more Reiki sessions should help you feel more balanced in your new aura distribution.

Hi Suzanne
No I haven't actually. What does oneaskthe healer as I've no idea how to phrase the question ! Can't really ask "can you see auras ?":DOr can you ?
In fact I never thought to ask where it was too tight in the first place, so I'm still not really sure what to do as I still can't feel anything. Perhaps it might be best to get a clear idea from someone who can see them first ?
I did try Bryan's suggestion last night for half an hour but unfortunately felt nothing though I know it can't happen overnight. On the other hand perhaps there are those who simply can't feel them anyway ?
But thank you very much for your reply even though I got a bit lost !! Gotta keep trying though as thatlady who had problems with her bossin thearticle has really got to me. Especially the bit about 'acutely empathetic' whicheven though it can be apain at times made me really feel for her as it'salmost exactly the same for me too. Anendless violation of boundaries. And why Ihave to resolve it in exactly the same way she did.
Blessings :D

No problem Peter. :)
I send Reiki out most evenings sometime between 11.00 and 12pm.
You may or may not sense anything. If you would like a specific date and time so you might "tune in" and know exactly when it's being sent, please let me know.

Perhaps do the aura expanding meditation a half hour or so before the times mentioned above when I send Reiki.
Try to be relaxed and "quiet" and open to sensing energy during the times I send. You may feel heat or a tingling in the hands or feet and/or body, or you may sense a swirling of energy or see swirling colours with your inner eye, not your physical eyes.
Some people know when they are receiving Reiki because they feel more reaxed and peaceful. Some people fall asleep because they start to feel tired. Others may just feel a greater sense of peace, freedom and ease not knowing why.
The thing is to remain open, not expecting anything in particular.
Reiki will help you. If you respond to your intuition and the inner sense of how to deal with your "issue" then that's ok. Try to meditate and also explore things like perhaps learning Reiki yourself as this opens the chakras andauric energy fields automatically during a Reiki attunement.
Perhaps look at any meditation classes in your area. Or begin to study books about spiritual work and growth. Go with your intuition and ask your inner guides to help and assist you.
Where in the UK are you?

I believe your aura will loosen up when you rebuild your self trust. Self-trust is what makes you confortable whatever the situation. If you feel aggressed, attacked, or feel your space violated, self-trust will at least make you aware of the situation and your means to change the situation. it will help you redefine your biosphere area, and thus, your aura.
The first step of the kuji-in techniques is rebuilding self-trust.
If you wish to go further in a self-transformation process, this will be the best thing you would do for yourself. Gain self-trust, become a master of your own energy space. But becoming a master of your life does not mean becoming in control of everything that happens around you. It is rather a sense of responsibility wher you feel you can handle any situation, even when you don't control them.

Telecino,
Yes. Very good advice and another idea and avenue to explore which Peter can add to those already suggested in the replies above.
Thanks for your input.

Hi Telecino :)

Thank you for your reply which was very interesting.

I found the point in Rin about self trust which I think is what you're referring to ?

"Each time you make a decision, you will notice that some of your muscles tighten with fear. Muscles tighten when you have to make a decision because of the inherent biological fear that the human animal body holds. The objective of this exercise is to become conscious of the fearful nature of the human, animal part of you. Once you are aware of these fears, release them and trust yourself. Self-trust is the key to success in everything."

It certainly makes a lot of sense but it seems as though in order to gain self trust which I think I have anyway, you have to release all your fears ? I know we all have them, I know I do ! But referring back to the feelings that the lady in the article had (I always seem to come back to her every time as there's so much common ground !:D)

"The biggest aura revelation for me was discovering that the ways in which I had always tried to protect myself (being defensive, withdrawn, shut down, and angry)"....

For me, after so long since childhood and perhaps more of a male reaction to it all, I think rather than fears it feels much more like just plain repressed frustration at times bordering on anger, though obviously all very contained ! And why I found my first grounding attempts so useful as it seemed to start beginning todrain it all in sucha newand unexpectedway. Leaving mefeeling much quieter and calmer which really wassuch awonderful relief ! :D

I also now "understand/ feel/ sense" (not sure of the right word) far more clearly a week or so on from first reading it, the last few lines of the last paragraph under the heading "An Early Warning System" ….

"With a grounded aura, these undesirable intrusions into your system will be intercepted at the outer edge of your aura and automatically grounded out of your personal field and down into the earth."

It just feels right somehow.
So my overall reasoning (rightly or wrongly as I'm definitely no expert !) is that if one's aura is tight or closed as I was originally told and thereforenot expanded, then it's much easier to feel "ungrounded, energetically unprotected, or vulnerable" as the lady in question says further down.

In other wordsgoing back to the article at the end of “An Early Warning System” -
“A grounded aura allows you to sense when energy is being directed at you from near or far, and gives you the choice to accept it or cleanse it out of your space. This puts people and situations at a healthy distance from you, thus allowing them less power to unbalance you. With a grounded aura, you will feel safer and more secure, and the quality of all your grounding anchor points will improve.”
Again it just feels so right.
Anyway I’ve tried to think it through, work it out but I think it’s always going to be hard to explain. Do hope this makes it all a little clearer though ?
Thanks
Peter :)
Bryan. My apologies but I’ve been so tired the last few weeks I simply haven’t been able to stay awake long enough ! Does this cause any problems ?
