Question:
Good morning! I just wanted to share again where Reiki and EFT can work so well together.
I have been attending a Carer's Centre this week giving taster sessions of Reiki to carer's of mentally illloved ones. It's been wonderful meeting these lovely people and being able to do something for THEM for a change!
Yesterday I had a lady who I vaguely knew from another place and she told me she wanted to know if Reiki could help with her very painful knees? I offered her a taster which she accepted. When I got to her knees the energy that started to surge through confirmed to me she was holding onto something there. After I asked how she had felt and she said she had felt intense heat in both knees and had seen the colour red. Immediatley I 'knew' it was anger in her knees but needed to find out why. I fed back to her that red indicated she was angry about something and hadn't been able to get it off her chest so she was holding it in her body. She nodded in agreement so I asked if she wanted to share what it was? She told me her husband had died a year ago and she was angry that he hadn't sorted out their financial affairs which had made life difficult for her. He had also told her she couldn't cope with anything and she was angry because he was being proved "right". (this lady was in her 70's).
I knew EFT would help her in releasing this anger so I asked if she would be prepared to give it a try. I did the tapping and spoke on her behalf because of time limitationsand started with "Even though I'm so angry at ... I respect myself and I'm ok"
I had asked for a score before we started and she had said 7. After the round I asked her for a score but she said she couldn't say. I felt she was holding back so decided to'freefall' the next round.
As I tapped the points I said "I'm angry with ...., he left me in real trouble, that b*****d knew what he was doing" at this point she burst out laughing and nodded her head vigoursly in agreement!!!! When we finished the round she was wiping tears from her eyes but still laughing and said " you knew him then?" The score had gone down to 4 BUT she was most amazed by the fact that her knees were no longer hurting her!!!! I explained that she had been holding onto this anger which was keeping her 'stuck' in the past therefore making it difficult to move 'forward', hence the pain in her knees. She was totally amazed at what had gone on in our short session and we talked about her getting her power back (she was having hassles with her son because he was treating her like an idiot) and I swear that lady strode out of the hall with all the determination to change herlife lol!!!

What a fantastic session! I didn't know red meant anger - I've learnt something there - I thought the colours just related to different chakras being out ofbalance. Is there something I should have read but haven't? I'd like to know more about this.

Hi Sharon,
no I don't think you have missed anything! I was taught that whatever colours are seen during Reiki reflect back to the practitioner what is going on with that person emotionally as well as being related to chakra centres. For example if someone tells me they have seen a lot of green or with some pink I know it is the heart chakra which is how we feel about ourselves and if what we give out in love is given back equally. I find that people who see this feel that they are always 'giving' but feel that they are not receiving in measure. When I ask them if there is something going on in their life where they feel they are getting short measure they look at me in amazement and ask "how do you know that"?!
So, if they see yellow I know they are having an emotional problem and maybe need to know how to protect themselves so we talk about that. The Reiki 'flags' up to me what is going on to give me the chance to bring it out into the open enabling the client to talk.
Yesterday was amazing because I could give so much info back to the carer just by what colours they were seeing and it was all spot on lol!

Oh dear, you've got me blushing now!
Allie, isn't EFT great! I was drawn to it immediatly when I saw you could use Reiki with it.
Sharon, I have been told by psychics for years that I will write a book and thought they were crazy lol! Trouble is I just wouldn't know where to begin.
Thank you for your kind words Sunrise and congratulations on taking your Reiki II. Hello back to Big Buddha!

I agree, EFT is veryvery good. I have been getting the news letters for as long as i can remember with fantastic reports of success.
I haven't personally gotten such good results myself as yet but refuse to give in as i know that i'm missing something; the core reason to tap on for example.
Surrogate tapping on animals still has me a little confused though as when i try surrogate tapping on a person, i see the person in front of and tap on their points. So i don't see how i can do the same for an animal. Are their point positions in the same places as ours?
Either way i have read of many successful case usuing EFT on animals; which is great.
