that is serious weight gain.
i assume that (because you're seeing a doctor) you've had the usual tests to check your thyroid etc. so if you can't burn the fuel you're putting in, then you had to stop putting in so much - ie don't eat more than is necessary. so here's the nub... why are you eating so much?
I'm going to do a search on it --
best of luck with your problems!

Very reluctantly, and with regret, the Moderators have had to terminate fatfatfat’s membership, because of the HP ruling on minimum age of members, which is 13.
We have sent her our very best wishes for a successful solution to her health problems.
Of course, this thread will not be deleted, and as she will still be able to read HP (though not log on and post), we hope that members will continue to post positive and helpful replies, which will no doubt be of interest and help to other readers as well.
Many thanks.

[sm=1kis.gif]Wanted to send you a hug because its very tough being overweight, people can be so unkind. Ask your mum to take you to slimming world if your G.P. OK's it. You will find them very friendly, warm, kind and supportive and I think its free for kids. you can eat loads of nice filling things and have treats, so its not to bad. My 13 yr old neice looks fantastic after losing 3 stone.
Good luck, well done for making a start

Oh Bless you, sweetheart, what a shame that you have to go through this.
I know there are some medical conditions which a very few people suffer from which make them gain weight.
As for exercise - perhaps you could try non-load bearing exercise eg the rowing machine, exercise bike or swimming - our local gym has a programme for overwewight kids - maybe yours does too.
In the meantime - if you eat crisps/biscuits/cakes - then try tocut them out - ask your Mum not to buy them, but to get you fruit instead.
A lot ofweight gain amongst the young (and older people who have got in the habit) is due to fizzy drinks. these are addictive. I never had them more than once a week myself as a child and only bought them for my kids when it was their birthday! If you drink them regularlyand want to stop you may find it will be very difficult as they aredosed up to be addictive, either with caffeine, with sugar, or aspartame. These are all ways the manufacturers use to get you to buy more of their products.
You could get your parents or guardians to have a look with you at which gives you a way of dealing with all sorts of things, for example bad feelings about your weight, andaddictive behaviour if that is a problem. There's a lot about EFT in the HP mind therapies forum.
If you have to have surgery, then welcome it - it will help you control your appetite.
I hope you have a long, happy and healthy life!
All the best my dear, You sound like someone with a lot of character and I hope that very soon you will not be calling yourself fatfatfat - but don't get too thin either!
