Question:
...hi everyone...i know you had this kind of thread before...but would you mind giving me an opinion about this table? Thanks!

;)
I have a very similar one, that I bought when I lived in the States - it paid for itself within 4 months. However, I have never used the headrest/arm shelf - people prefer a face ring on the actual table. Everyone, including my family, found it very comfortable - I paid an extra $50 to have 6" foam used.
I only use it for house visits now, since I bought myself an electric Darley couch for my birthday!
..thanks for your help...im really confused with all the massage tables around...so are you saying I should go for a massage table with a hole?which brand is yours?
I have this couch (or very similar - updates) It is very comfortable. I do use the face bit. The only thing I don't like about mine (& I'm not sure if yours is the same) is that the top half doesn't lift up - not a HUGE problem, but it niggled me recently - apart from that great couch
I've just ordered an electric couch today!! yipee!!

I agree with funny bunny - I like the fact that mine has a liftable back rest. I can sit my clients up with very little effort from them - or me!!

...thanks for your replies...at the moment my problem is also finding quite a light table cos i will have to do mobile work...on ebay they have similar ones but they are 22kgs!!!far too much for me...i wouldnt really go any heavier than 16kg if possible...
Hi
It looks like a very good table - could you please send me the link too
Many thanks

I have an older version of this couch - not sure what the spec of the one you're looking at is - but mines heavy! It's ok for doing visits but if I was short/ not very strong I'd say don't do it. The couch can be adjusted from really high to really low, so you don't have problems with that, the foam is very thick and the couch itself is sturdy. I'm pleased with mine - it has a face cradle instead of a face hole- I prefer that personally.. I'll get a light one someday but for the meantime - it does the job just fine.
Igot a table from sally's got it for £99 with some extra. ButI got it for the professional beauty show. soI don't know how much it would be in the shop.
It very light weight and the back comes up. It just not good if you have a client over six foot. That whyI got another one.I all so do mobile workandI[sm=animal-smiley-085.gif] fine it fine getting it in and out of the car.
I hope this helps

I don't have this particular couch, but something similar, and I would definitely disagree about the face cradle and arm rest. When I 'm being massaged, I MUCH prefer having somewhere to put my arms and, as a man, I find a face cradle far more comfortable (my feet hang off couches where I haveto put my face in a hole in the couch). Almost without exception, everyone uses and appreciates the arm rest on my couch.
I've seen a lightweight couch in the Beauty Express catalogue. It looks identical to the very light and expensive starlight therapy couch but a third of the price. It goes in slightly in the middle. A friend of mine bought one at a show and said is was light enough to take back on the tube with her.
Here are the details:
Lightweight carbon couch £225
Carry case is extra
Weight = lighter than 10.5kg (aprox 23 lbs?)
Tension cables to distribute client weight evenly
Height adjustable
Avail in black or white
It has a face cradle and the back doesn't lift up.
You can order the catalogue - "The Beauty Book" from www.beautyexpress.o.uk
or call 0845 702 3803
I emailed the company to get the dimensions of the couch:
Length - 180cm (+cradle 26cm)
Width - 73cm
Height - 81cm
Comes with face cradle and carry case.
Weight of couch is 10kg, should be able to hold up to 16stone.
