Question:

Learning more about Reiki I see that sometimes drawing of energy to parts of the body might not just mean that they have a physical problem with that area. For example, knees might mean the fear to move forward etc. What would other parts mean like elbows, hips etc or would it depend on the persons circumstances?
Thanks!

Hi Doogle
I am very much in the "early learning" stage too. I think that this can get quite involved, and it's certainly wise to do some reading up about chakras etc.
From my basic understanding, problems with:
Third eye (between brows) can mean that you (the client) has a blockage when it comes to intuition.
Arms can mean that you have a fear of letting go of something.
Solar Plexus can mean that you have a lot of nervous tension (perhaps worried about your abilities/confidence, or under lots of stress etc).
Sacral area can mean issues about giving yourself comfort, looking after yourself, and perhaps issues about sexuality, food, possibly addictions.
Root/base area can mean issues with jobs, money, property, or more material issues. Can also mean problems with grounding, as far as I know.
I think that you can also relate different sides of the body to masculine and feminine issues; e.g. I always have problems with my right knee during Reiki, which I relate to my relationship issues with my mother, whereas my left arm can bring up issues with my husband (I think I try to "hold on" to him, as he works away for six months of the year).
I hope that this helps a bit. I am sure that I others will be able to elaborate on this, or perhaps correct me if necessary. As I said, I'm a bit new to this!

Thank you for the help, have just ordered Mari Halls book.
Jane L, what you say certainly makes sense. I treated my mum and got pains in my elbows. She said that they didnt hurt but not wanting to let go of someone makes sense as my father travels alot and has just left for a long trip.
This is great! :D

Hi Doogle
Glad to help! [sm=grouphug.gif]
I treated 2 more clients last night and got some good (and baffling results). I've posted a new thread on this.
I hope that you (and I) get some more answers on the chakras/areas of the body, though, as this is something that I am really interested in.

This is a link provided by Dez in a previous thread, and it's a really good site.
I'm going to have an in depth look this weekend.
