please help Selengreen!!
Her daughter is having a rough time and no child should be neglected by the NHS, so if anyone has any hint about homeopathy and asthma, please tell her.
many many thanks.

There are different theories about mixing Homeopathy and Aromatherapy, so your response would depend on the Homeopath. Personally I don't think it would be particularly wise around the same time as administering the remedy, but if you want to try the oils a big distance apart, then it may be ok.
The main problem is the Homeopathic remedies are said to be very sensitive especially to strong flavours and scents.
Regular consultations with a qualified practitioner would be more advisable.
Answers:
The only essential oils which shouldn't be used with homeopathy are peppermint, spearmint, eucalyptus and black pepper.

Hello,
There are many essential oils that need to be avoided when taking homoeopathic remedies - & remember that these go on working for a long while so it's not just the day that you take the remedy that you need to avoid these oils to prevent antidoting it.
The following is a list of oils that although seem innocuous, can distill to substances that need to be avoided. These distilled substances are listed in brackets.
CONTRA-INDICATED ESSENTIAL OILS
It is important to avoid the following essential oils whilst undergoing homoeopathic treatment.
Black pepper
Blue Gum Eucalyptus
Borneol (camphor)
Calamintha
Camphor (camphor, menthol)
Chamomile
Cornmint (menthol)
Common oregano (thymol)
Cubeb (black pepper)
Exotic Basil (camphor)
Juniper (camphor)
Mimosa (phenol)
Pennyroyal (camphor)
Peppermint (eucalyptus)
Peppermint (menthol)
Rosemary (camphor)
Sassafras (camphor)
Spanish sage (camphor)
Spearmint (menthol)
Spike Lavender (camphor)
Tansy (camphor)
Thuja (camphor)
Turpentine
Yarrow (camphor)
This is not an exhaustive list - if having aromatherapy, please check with your therapist.
Hope this helps! ;)
In response to the question about Nat Mur - it might have been nice if your practitioner had told you a bit more about this remedy. It is a remedy of deep seated grief amongst other things & the reference to 10M is the potency, which is HIGH! If there are issues that need addressing in this area, then a 10M should certainly open a few doors!! Never be afraid to ask your practitioner for clarification - especially if it concerns your child.

Thanks Bellis,
My son was given this remedy as he was suffering outbursts of anger and violence. After talking more with my son, this anger stems from not grieving the death of his father. I have also found out a bit more on the uses of NAT MUR and can see now why he was given this remedy. Thanks again for replying.

Itwouldbeworthyou goingtoahomeopaththoughforconstitutionaltreatment though (i.e: a rememdy for HER not her asthma as per ant tart), your homeopath can also help with acute homeopathic bronchodialators too (i.e: instead of ventolin etc...).
