infertility
Question:

A few months ago a lady came to me becauseshe had beentrying to get pregnant for the past year or so with nosuccess and she had read how reflexology could help. I explained that I had not had experience in this area before but that I too had read that it was effective and I of course was aware of which areas I should be working, so we embarked on regular treatments. I do the fulltreatment session withextra focus on the ovaries, uterus, pituitary, liver. However, she has had 14 sessions to date and nothing! [&:]So I have a few questions for those of you who have had success stories 1) How many sessions on average did it take for your clients. 2) Are there some clients that it just won't work for and if so how do you know3) At what stage would you throw in the towel and admit defeat 4) Is there something else I should be doing to enhance treatment.

Answers:

Hi Staranise,
I've had some success with reflexology and infertility and hormonal problems in general, although the infertility one I find difficult at times, as I feel the woman is pinning all her hopes on me. Infertility is such a vast area though and it does depend entirely on the underlying cause. Too be honest I think the ones that I got a positive result with, were ones that were under a lot of stress (at their inability to conceive) and it was more an emotional block than something amiss physically. So as well as the areas that you have covered I reworked the solar plexus and the adrenal glands, and I think because they felt more relaxed they were then in a better position to fall pregnant. It's a viscious circle when they are 'trying' because the more anxious and stressed they are becoming about conceiving, that's often the very thing that's stopping them. She also needs to check her diet, zinc's meant to be the fertility mineral, and also if she's anaemic will make conception more difficult. I don't know if she's had any checks to see if there is any physical problems / obstructions? and also her partner. She could try checking her temperature to see that she is actually ovulating, and have a reflex a few days before ovulation to give things a boost.
Hope you get some success. It's hard, on the women I've seen that nothings happened I've felt like a failure myself and want the treatment to work so much for them. Keep going, it can take a while for some couples at the best of times.
Good luck to you both
