Question:
Hiya everyone!
Can anyone help me with a nice general essential oil blend that would have aphrodisiac properties and could be used both both menand women?
Thanks a lot,
Susky x
Hi Susky,
I'm not an aromatherapist, but i do massage my husband with Ylang Ylang and base oil. Its smells lovely and is supposed to have aphrodisiac properties. You should give it a try.:D

Hi Susky,
I am aromatherapist and Kate's idea of ylang ylang is good. A ginger&ylang ylang blend can help release inhibitions and stimulate both sexes.
I recommend you give it a try. Make sure the oil is warm also.
Kind Regards,
Louis
Rose is supposed to be aphrodisiac too - either rosa centifolia or rosa damascena. Don't go too mad. though... it's very expensive!
Susky,
Additionally you can combine oils that you both like in blend. If you wish to be adventurous - creating oils according to your partner's personality can be beneficial. For example your partner may have a bright sunny personality with a bit spark - mandarin & black pepper could represent that.

I'd suggest Neroli too, perhaps with something like Frankincense. Both are very uplifting, and liked by both sexes. Neroli is reputed to have aphrodisiac properties.
Hi Susky
I also love the Ylang and Ginger blend but with sweet orange added too. Its beautiful. Alternatively, you could try Jasmine and Ginger. If I can get personal for a moment........if you are trying to conceive, I would only use a 1% blend - particularly if using Jasmine.
Katy
Iwill. Thanks.
Ylang ylang, clary sage & orange would be my choice :D
I mix a blend of ginger, lemon, orange and frankincense for my customers. Smells gorgeous...well worth a try!
hello everyone
Angleica 71 - I like the sound of the oils you mentioned but am not sure how I would mix them e.g. in what ratio and would I need to use a particular carrier oil?

Hi,
Jasmine and Sandalwood to help relaxation and calm - both have a delicious aroma liked by both males and females and Jasmine inspires self confidence. Patchouli, Cardomom and Black Pepper the latter two to stimulate.

Ylang Ylang is propably the most effective aphrodisiac EO.
I have a readof anAphrodisiac blend with1 part sandalwood, 1 part Ylang Ylang, 1 past of Peru Balsam and 1 part of Sage oil.
all the oils mentioned are great but just be aware that all you can have entirely the opposite effect if you use too much
so
1 drop of each - wa hay!!!
2 drops of each - snoozeville ( and in some cases a headache, such as ylang ylang)
Sarah ;)
