Hi Sam
If you live in or within commuting distance to London, City Lit do an advanced massage techniques course, which includes trigger points, and some stretching techniques - the tutor was also very amenable, and would adapt the course to include the kinds of things people wanted to know, such as stretching and some Thai techniques. I found it an idealway of finding out about whether sports massage would be of interest to me, although this was a 12 week (1/2 day a week) course.
City lit also has a pretty comprehensive range ofcomplementary therapies & Health/fitness courses, and I think they may even do a short coursejust on effective stretching, so it's worth taking a look at their website (just google City Lit, it should come up)
Again, it might not be a short courseoption, but you could explore some yoga classes, as they're also likely to include stretching techniques, & you might be able to find a class that focusses largely on this.
Hope you find what you're looking for.

Hi thanks for your reply. I checked out city lit (i live near town) and the course sounds perfect but its full until next sept (2007!!)
Do you know anywhere else that runs the same advanced massage techniques course or one similar! It sounded perfect!
Thanks again

Hi,
I recently did an Effective Stretching workshop with Quantum Metta - - they do loads of courses and you will definately be able to get an idea re sports massage from them. The main lady there also teaches Sports Massage at a University (can't remember which one) adn is also an examiner - so she'll def be able to help!Look at their site and manybe give them a call and they can advise you on which workshop will be best for you.
Good luck!
PS Address is on the website but my course was held in a great building near Angel tube
