Question:
My little girl has an infected little toe nail. The GP wants me to take a clipping so they can grow a culture but it is hard when the nail doesn't grow! It kind of grows thick but not long...
She caught it in her baby gro at a few weeks old as her nails tend to split and tear easily. It came off and as a result she had no nail for a while but then when it came back it is yellow and obviuosly infected. Can anyone help with a crystal that I could try for her? She is 2. It will hopefully cure things but if not at least help! I would like to make her an elixir I have looked a few up in my books but nothing seems solid so I thought I would ask for some assistance....
Many thanks.
Claire:)
I had a fungal infection in my right big toe nail for months, and used all sorts of stuff (on prescription) and they decided to self-treat with melalueca (sp-? 100% tea tree oil). I used it twice daily, morning and evening, and noticed new growth within 2 weeks. That was 8 months ago, and the nail is now absolutely clear (I still use the oil, once a day, on all my toes - it's not doing any harm, but it may be doing some good in warding off further fungal infection). My daughter used it when she was a swimmer, and always coming home with something nasty between her toes!
Hi and thanks Jabba,
I will try it. I had already thought of that but thought that some crystals may help too. I think it was Chrysphase that the book said but I am not sure now.....
Cheers anyway,
Claire
Does anyone have any suggestions? It's unlike you all to not sugest something on the crystal front????
Hi Delamare,
I read your op and first thought was follow the gp's advice. Crystals are a very gentle way of changing energies, for a fungal infection there are much better things to treat the condition quickly.
I would look at your daughters diet and also what she wears. Do you wash her socks or leggings etc in a biological washing substance? both can grossly affect the nail quality. Better to stick to pure soap or one of the sensitive washings tuffs like surcare or filletti. Keep her toes in the air as much as possible, too.
Tea tree is a wonderful treatment as is homeopathic Thuja.
Crystals I fear may take too long for this, although I would look at something comforting and cosy like Rose Quartz and perhapos a general boost like Clear Quartz.
Hope she is on the mend now xxx
Thanks Crystal,
I will try the homeopathic remedy and boost her with the crystals. I know you feel that the crystals take a while to change the energies but the GP has been honest in saying any treatment will take a while to act. The reason being they can't prescribe until they grow a culture and that takes a few weeks......they can't grow a culture if they can't get a clipping!
Thanks anyway.....

Hi Delamere
I would also recommend a more acute remedy for your little one's toenail infection. My son had an infected ingrown toenail and we left it too long before doing something about it, and he ended up having to have it removed, not a pleasant ordeal.
I would recommend seeing a homeopath, and getting a remedy specific for your daughter, which will hopefully begin to work immediately. I would also look at removing sugar from the diet, as it suppresses the immune system, also soaking the foot in salt water (about 2 handfuls to a pint) about3 times a day, for about 10 minutes at a time.Maybe noteasyfor a 2 year old, but worth ago.
Hypericum calendula tincture is also goodto dab on, (diluted as per instructions on bottle) - try Neals Yard make or similar.
I also feel crystals are not immediate enough for this sort of condition, and something both topical and internal is more appropriate. I wish you lots of luck and hope your little one's toe clears up quickly.
Warm wishes

Delamare, I know how worried you must be, I'm a mum myself, I have added your daughter to my weekly healing list too and will keep sending her some special crystal energy, I hope thats ok. xxx
