Question:
Hi there, I am seriously considering acupuncture as a career, Reading is my nearest college (although not that near!) but LCTA is also an option.
I know its a personal question but how are people raising the funds for this course? Although I know it will be worth the money I just can't imagine leaving 15-20K in debt.
Are there any charitable organisations that could help with funding?
Help!
Thanks in advance xxx
Hi,
I am also considering a course at the CICM but have to say I am self funding. Tough but needy as my husband earns a good wage and a vast amount of people won't touch me for help. I can't see the point of paying a whoping 12%interest for a cdl if I don't have to. The fees are high and the sacrifices high but I am considering it anyway. If anyone replies with info about charitable organisations I too would be keen to hear....when do you want to begin? Will you be staying in B&B's? Have you been to an open day? Have you considered the LCTA and what did you think?
I am considering these two colleges also but feel the pull towards Reading although I don't relish the staying away from home....
Hope to hear your replies soon....
Regards
Claire
Hi
Another thought about the costs: - you do make them back! And quite quickly too, if you really go for it!

Have you considered business/career development loans and grants? If you're serious about doing this as a career or business, there's no reason why you shouldn't apply to some of these sources of funding.
Start by getting intouch with yourlocal Business Link, get yourself a business advisor, and go from there. They have huge lists of available funding for all types of businesses - even at pre start-upstage.
