Question:
I’m a new member with lots of questions, but will ask my most important one first. How do I send healing energy with my pendulum? I have a cat in Michigan I’ve been sending Reiki to, but feel he would benefit from something extra.

I'm not sure you can send any healing energy from a pendulum that would reach from a distance in that regard. I know that you can dowse over maybe a picture to see if healing is still required and for how long and what type of healing etc. It depends also on what type of pendulum you are using too. Metal? Wood? Austrian Crystal, Rock Cystral? All have energies but only Rock crystal is suitable, I believe, to send energies out to this nature.
Have you asked the pendulum what the reason is for the healing not being completed yet or how much longer will the healing be required to complete the healing?
I asked my Mum who has used a pendulum for years too and she does not really know of any way of sending healing from a pendulum either. There are such things as Eygptian pendulums that are said to imitt a white light but at what distance I am not sure.

Thank-you, Kay, for your response. Somewhere in the dark recess of my mind, I recall healers/dowsers working singly or in groups--healing circles-- to heal over great distances. I am using an amethyst pendulum and it seems quite strong to me.
I will take your suggestion and ask the pendulum more questions.

Sometimes pendulums are dowsed over maps showing the place that healing is to be sent to, or they can be swung over the hand chakras before sending energy to intensify and awaken them and tune them in, but not many use this method though in crystal healing. Its far easier to set up a crystal grid for long term distance sending of energy.
Reiki groups or circles send distantly and the energy built up can be very powerful.

I met a man once who's an 'expert' when it comes to dowsing & he used to use a pendulum for healing...as far as I can recall he told me that the pendulum would move in an anti-clockwise circle to show where there is an ailment & he would hold the pendulum above that spot until it would start to go clockwise, when it wouldstart moving clockwise it was healing &then it would stopto say that the healing was done(I'm not 100% sure if I got that the right way round, you'd have to experiment yourself anyway to see how your pendulum would tell you).
I'm not too sure how you would do this for distant healing but I supose you could always try using a photograph

Could you hold your pendulum over the map and use Visualisation in addition. Although whenI use a crystal for Healing until the persona has recovered I don't use that crystal for anything else. Amethyst should be fine , could you reinforce it with a clear quartz point?
Thanks to all of you for your responses. I spent a quiet afternoon sitting in the warmth of the sun working with my pendulum and asking questions. I feel I have found my answer. I visualize to whom I want to send energy and ask permission to do so, much as I do when sending Reiki. If I get a positive response, I send general healing energy and then more specific energy as needed. I believe if I follow my instincts, I will be fine. I’ll keep you posted on my progress.

Surely when sending reiki you are reacting to a request for healing or ask the persons permission first, and not by pendulum? Just because one thinks that a situtation needs help or healing doesn't always mean that it does?
Many people do use them for dowsing problems areas on the body, either by photo or in person, as has already been said.
Yes, I ask permission before sending any energy. Even when reacting to a request for healing, the person or animal may not want energy when I have time to send it. This has happened with my mother. Sometimes when I feel she needs Reiki the most, she does not want it and I respect her wishes.
