Ergonomic Stool
Question:

Has anyone tried IHM or Reiki using an ergonomic stool rather that a portable chair or massage couch and if so how did you get on?

Answers:

I have and they are really comfy for the client. I am 5'6" and I find that it's too low for me to work comfortably. If they did them a bit taller I would probably use them. If you're shorter you might find it's just right.

Oh my goodness! I misinterpreted the subject!!!!!!!! So it's not Diet and Nutrition then.........Let's leave that there, shall we!?!.......... [sm=rollaugh.gif]
Anyway, I have not used one personally, but I understand that prolonged use may affect the knees and that would be my concern for the client. I would be concerned regarding sturdiness, but I guess if it's from a good manufacturer then it should be OK.
Is there someone you could perhaps borrow one from to see if it would be suitable for you to massage with?

Hi. just thought I'd mention that I received a treatment on one of these stools, and I found it really uncomfortable for my back. I had a bit of back pain before I started the treatment, but it felt much worse afterwards as I felt I had been bent over too far with nothing to hold me up, while the practitioner was pressing on my back.
Because of this I bought a massage chair when I started studying and so far all my clients have said they find this really comfortable.
Hope this helps. :D
