Question:
hi everyone
My daughter is in the midst of exams & study and there is a clear pattern now that she becomes unwell.
can anyone recommend oils for a) keeping her focused/alert while studying, and b) winding her down to relax and sleep post study/exam.
I am currently giving her echinacea, and burning some lavender and benzoin pre-bed time. However, sniffles, coughs, temperature flare ups, sore heads continue.
All advice will be much appreciated.

Hi Janice
A nice blend I liked to diffuse when studying Aromatherapy (esp Anatomy & Physiology) was peppermint, basil and rosemary. It's quite a stimulating blend so keeps the mind focused and helps concentration. Only thing is it wouldn't be very good used at night, esp as she wants to wind down. For this a blend of lavender, chamomile and vetiver might be quite good. Vetivert is deeply relaxing and with lavender and chamomile would be good for getting to sleep. They're also good for immune system so may help with colds etc. A good idea might be to take a bath with these oils diluted or a soothing massage after her exams.
good luck.

Although quite expensive, Melissa is good for focussing and memory.

Lemon would be good too - both for colds etc and for staying mentally alert. Very refreshing too.
Hi,
There is a recipe for an exam/interview oil blend in the Valerie Ann Worwood book "Fragrant Pharmacy", although you might want to reduce the quantities. I found it very good for interview nerves.
I'm at work at the moment, so don't have the recipe to hand, but if you don't have the book, PM me and I'll let you have the details.
Best wishes,
Sandie
Hi,
I would try Jasmine for self confidence, Rosemary for memory and a clear head and Rescue Remedy to calm the nerves. It works for me.
