Question:
On Saturday, my better half and myself chucked all the camping gear in the car and I started driving while she navigated.
Now I hadn't got a clue where she was taking me apart from the fact I could tell we were heading northeastwards.
As we neared the coast, my hands started buzzing with energy. This isn't unusual as I get fluctuations of energy flowing in my hands every now and then, but this time it wasn't the usual Usui Reiki, it felt more like the Gaia energy.
5 minutes further down the road I saw a road sign saying "Filey 20 miles" and then it clicked. Previously I hadn't got a clue where Filey was although I recognised the name from Paul Cricks filey-therapist web site.
I would have stopped to say hello but the weekend was short and there were fossils calling us in the Robin Hoods bay area. :D
Thought I'd share that with you all as it's the first time the Gaia energy has flowed without being called upon.

Well I hope you remembered to take you hammer with you whilst fossil hunting, there's plenty on this part of the coast line but they are usually encased in rock :-)
Well, as the minx that is my better half hadn't told me where she was planning on going, nope I hadn't got my hammer and chisel.
Fortunately we looked around in the shale of the old alum quarry at Ravenscar and there was quite a nice variety of specimens in there. :D
There was some in the cliffs down in robin hoods bay, but it's a bit risky standing under the overhanging mud. I nearly had a large amount land on my head and then after that 'she' wouldn't let me investigate the cliffs any more. :(
I think we'll be heading back sometime, and I'll definitely remember the hammer and chisel. (I think I need to keep them permanently in the car..)

Giles - I'm interested in what you term Gaia energy - can you describe it a little more for me? It's just that I've picked up on this a few times and I've seen/felt energy pulses from the Earth... I've yet to meet someone who knows what I'm talking about! :D It's be nice if we could swop experiences?

As for what it feels like for me...
Well, it feels like a higher frequency of energy than Usui Reiki and somehow more intense. If I call on it while doing a treatment it sometimes feels as though it's pushing my hands off the body and into the aura (I know Gussie gets that too). I've experimented a little with my partner and she could tell when I switched from Usui to Gaia.
At the moment I can't really tell if it comes up from the earth of just from the universe around me. Usui definitely feels as if it enters the crown chakra, but I can't quite tell with Gaia. Maybe as time progresses and I start to become more sensitive to the feelings I get I'll be able to tell.
I've got my reiki II this weekend (fingers crossed) so maybe the intenseness of the Usui may surpass the Gaia afterwards, I'll have to wait and see.

I agree with what you said about feeling the difference in the energies. Like you Reiki flows from above through my crown. When I call on Gaia energy it comes in with such a force it's hard to tell exactly where from!!. My body temp seems to go up a few 1,000 degrees and I develop a nice 'glow'! My clients always know something different is going on even if I haven't told them what I am doing. Wonderful isn't it (thank you Paul).

I had my gaia attunement from Paul today & all I can say is WOW I saw colours lights & felt like I was enveloped in a beautiful warm cushion of air, my hands were on fire all in all a wonderful experience & I cant wait to use it.

Have to say that I agree about the Gaia~Now energy it's just ingredable, whenever I call upon it & it's often, it seems to me to come from upbove but comes down with such a 'whoosh' that I am instantly grounded:)

I saw previous posts about it & had a look at pauls web site printed all the info about gaia off & took a lot of time to read & understand it. I knew I wanted to do it but waited a while as Id just done my Reiki 2 in june I requested it after a long walk in the country & I knew the time was right.
