Question:
hello, I wondered if anyone had heard any good from this Crystal Healing course: the Violet Flame school with Daniela Sutton?
I know someome who started the course and was very happy about it but I would like to hear anyone else'views...
I have also looked at The Vibrational Medicine Foundation in London but it is far from where I live, and also unlike Daniela sutton the teachers don't seem to have a background in the scientific study of crystals...
Well Violet Flame is an ACHO accredited school - ie. the 2 year diploma course, so that'sgood. Here's the ACHO website if youhaven't already found it:
From what I hear (friend of a friend is doing the course) Daniela is very nice. She does ask that you do a couple of workshops with her prior to the diploma course which seems very sensible. If you're committing to a two year course, you need to get on well with the tutor! For any course like this, you need to talk to the tutor, go for a treatment with them, look at syllabus, etc., to see if it's the right thing for you.
of course!
you are so right. I would need to go for a treatment with her, that would be the perfect way to find out about her as crystal therapist...
thanks. I am curious: have you trained or are training in crystals?
Hi both,
I couldn't commit to a 2 year course, and did a 2 day course with Raye Bower, I am now qualified and insured (with FHT) to Level 1. For this I can do:
auric cleanse with eggs or spheres
chakra balance with pendulum and chakra stones
crystal therapy treatment with smokey quartz and clear quartz, chakra balance with pendulum and chakra stones, and placing body in crystal triangulation.
You can train up to Level 4 with her, each level is two days at £200. You need to do 10 case studies for each level.
She holds courses all over the World, is based in Cumbria, but if you want to do it in your area, you could organise it for a min of 8 (I think).
Highly recommended.
thanks a lot.
Actually my local higher education college offers a VTCT course in crystal therapy, for one evening a week during one year. Cheap and easy (not intensive lessons)it seems..
However I do not know the teacher and was told that they could change the tutor at the last minute so it would be pointless to base my opinion on what is going on now...
You can see how I have considered doing the more expensive and intensive training with Daniela Sutton, even if this meant driving for over an hour...
But I still cannot commit myself right now to such a course; I really want to know it is the right and best course (regarding her knowledge of crystals, her talent and approachability).
thanks a lot for your opinion.
I'm doing a Crystal Therapy course at my local college. It is a VTCT level 3 and is 17 weeks long. (3 hours a week). It is really in depth, and there is a lot of homework as well as the course itself but it is a great course. I think they said this is one of the first times a course like this has been run in a college but I know they're running it again in September.
I hope you find a course that you enjoy.
Claire.
A lot of homeork...hum, reassuring and worrying at the same time!
Could you tell me roughly how many hours a week of homework you do for this course? thanks a lot.
We have to do between two and three meditations with different crystals, then write them up, and also do the properties for each crystal. Then we have a bit of Anatomy and Physiology last week it was the skeleton this week is about respiration. Then there are a fewextra bits, this week for instance we have to write about cleaning and energising crystals and grounding. I guess this takes me a couple of evenings a week, but the tutor is great and doesn't mind if some things roll over to the next week.
As a general, doing a VTCT course you have to do an M2 and M74 assignment that is all about health and safety and legislation. Once you've done it though you can use it in any VTCT course you do which is quite handy. It is a good course, it's just that we have so much to cover in only 17 weeks. Our tutor is even planning a sunday outing to her place to get a bit more time in!
Hope this helps.
thanks a lot Nemo (sorry I forgot your name, I just remember the picture)!
I wonder what actually happens in a therapy session because it last an hour....do they leave you with crystals to rest for a while like in accupuncture?
