blue opal
Question:

hi all,
well i got my xmas pressie today, my hubby said he would buy me a crystal wand...so off i went and found a beautiful blue opal one (along with some smaller bits and bobs!) all went well, i was so pleased with my wand... but knew i'd have to wrap it up for santa...so i had a bit of time with it first, then put it away whilst i did a few jobs. when i came to wrap it just now i no longer had a wand ... but two bits of a wand:( its a complete mystery.... and i'm really dissappointed.... well i guess i do have two bits now[&o]
any ideas why this happened?

Hi Lisa
Opal is a very delicate crystal with a fine vibrational rate...it is, as thais has pointed out one of those crystals that does not resonate easily with every one, perhaps although drawn to it...it was not meant for you, or it could have been that because it is such a delicate cyrstal there could have already been a flaw in it...therefore it just snapped[&:] any chance it could be taken back to exchange, or perhaps someone in your area could re 'dress' the top of 'them' making your one wand into two!...just an idea.

I have a collection of opals, also a blue one that i have had for years. It is a stone for eccentrics and artisans i believe. Cerulean blue. I have heard about the "bad luck" rumour but i do not believe in it. Like our Stormdeva says it is a very delicate stone with a fine frequency for me.

Hi Lisa
The fact that you now have two wands is great, is there one piece that draws you more than the other? I had a beautiful Flourite wand, which broke leaving two pieces except that the bit that broke off was all one colour and left me with another piece that i now use regularily.
Do not despair, these things happen for a reason. Rejoice that you now have two pieces.
