I wonder if any of you can advise please? I've felt drawn to Reiki for some time now and have finally decided to do something about it. I've spoken to a few local RM's on the phone, and I've narrowed it down to 2 that I'm comfortable and at ease with - that "feel right".
They both do a 2-day course for Reiki 1, they seem to cover the same things and give a certificate and manuals and run reiki share on a regular basis, but one charges £100 and the other charges £200.
So my question - what is the "going rate" for Reiki 1?

Mine was £110 (in the Midlands) about 2 years ago. So you'd probably be looking at something around £100 to £150.
At the end of the day you need to go with who you feel comfortable with. Speak with them both and if you're more comfortable with the RM charging £200 and you can afford that then go for that. You're intuition will let you know what's right.

South Wales currently £90, but there isn't as much money about as southern England.
I teach Reiki I&II together and charge £250.00. This includes a comprehensive manual, certificates, ongoing post course support and Reiki shares, and a delicious homecooked vegan lunch.
I would agree with others and say just go with your intuition and choose the one that feels most right for you.
I did my Reiki 1 in March this year and it cost £85.00. This included a manual, certificate and lunch. It was a one day course and the RM runs local Reiki shares, which I have attended:D
I am soon to be doing Reiki 2 and this will cost £110.00

My Reiki 1 course cost £140. It was a one day course with a very full & detailed manual, audio CD's & ongoing support. (Ongoing support doesn't always go without saying.)
I was totally satisfied with the course & so didn't mind paying that amount. Just go with the RM you feel is right for you. :D
