Ohhhhh feeling so ill !! Advice please
Question:

Hi all,
So just arranged to do my masters/teaching training at the end of next month. I'm really excited about moving forwards and not only do I feel ready but the way it came about was a classic example of "student ready ~ teacher appears!! Lots of unexplained things coming together and me being in the right place at the right time !!! I fully trust the Reiki energy and so know this is the right thing to do.
I've been doing lots of work on myself (as I regularly do) and giving regular reiki treatments to others. In the last few days I've begun to feel awful. Tired ~ wiped out ~ sick ~ bad tummy ~ shaky !!!
I'm thinking that this is just the Reiki givng me one big cleanse before the big day, so i'm in as good a position as can be to receive the attunement!
What do you guys think?

Could well be that. Your intention of taking the next step could be enough to trigger the 'cleansing'!
Good luck with the masters Level,

Yes this happened with me too before I did my master/teacher level. I got terribles migraines, sickness and felt awful. Hope you feel better.

I think it could be as you and the others have suggested. It could also be that perhaps you've picked up a tummy bug, and it might be a good idea to get a check up with your GP as well.

Meridianmoon, :)
Your intent to take the Master level has been heard by the Universe and the Reiki guides. As a result, thingsbegin to work "behind the scenes" to help prepare you and you could easily be feeling the effect of this preparation which is taking place at a soul level for you.
(Could also be something you've eaten too as suggested here. :))
Taking Reiki Master is a commitment to Reiki and brings a tremendous energetic shift and the start of a whole new ball game. Rest easy in the knowledge that everything is happening exactly as it should be for you.
Have a wonderful time before and after your great day. Let us know how you get on.
I applaud your decision to committ to Reiki. It brings great joy and abundance into our lives. We are never quite the same afterwards...in away which is always exactlyright for us! :)
Cheers

Bryan, the decision to take Reiki Mastership does not, IMHO, have to be a big deal with bells on (with or without tummy upsets, however caused ;)), it can also be a quiet and gentle and "right" progression to the next stage.
I'm always a little wary about making definitive statements about what might or might not be going on for someone else... since it's different for everyone. :)
Cheers to you too!
Laura.

:)Thanks for your comments,
I'm feeling alot better, still a little wobbly !!!
Dont really think it's a tummy big as I haven't actually been sick just the feeling I might be.
Thanks for taking the time to answer though.

Dear Meridianmoon,
Ther is also a spiritual aspect to your illness. I signed up for a channelling course last year with the great Margaret Birkin. A week before I was due to go to Amsterdam, I couldn't walk. My right footwas so painful.
When you want to develop spiritually and move onwards and upwards, your 'Self' will do anything it can to stop you. You'Self' is the 'human' lower part of your entity, while your 'Higher Self' is your link with Spirit.
Simply tell your 'Self' that you ARE going on this course and you ARE going to move on spiritually, so 'it/they' can back off. Then watch the change in yourself :D
Best wishes

Yes Laura, you are right of course. But look at the title of MeridianMoon's post and look at the content of it.
Does that suggest that this is "quiet and gentle"?
It's not a definitive statement that applies to everyone but a reply which may help give some insight into this one particular experience. I stand by my comment that taking Reiki Master means making a commitment to Reiki. How Reiki responds to that commitment is unique to the individual. However things do happen individually as a result of making this commitment and toimagine otherwise would mean that Reiki doesn't actually exist.
It is a big deal if we are serious in what we are doing and taking responsibility to take the attunements to teach Reiki.
:)
Cheers again. ;)

Hello Bryan
I think maybe we've got slightly at cross purposes here, and there is a misunderstanding.
By "the" decision to take Reiki Mastership, perhaps I should have referred to "a" decision - ie anyone's. More ofa generalisation. No way would I want to invalidate Meridianmoon's experience, or anyone else's for that matter, and I'm sorry if it came across that way, though I can understand why you posted this:
I quite agree, I never said anything about not making a commitment to Reiki! :)
I don't believe I said anything about not being serious or failing to take reponsibility.
I hope that's all cleared up now :)
Laura.
