Question:
Good morning all you lovely crystal people!. I wonder if anyone could tell me what Opals represent or help with? I have an overwhelming desire to buy an Opal ring. I have looked on the internet at some Opal sites and know that they come in all colours butI am more drawn to the milky ones with flashes of colour through them. I can't tell you why , just feel the need to have a ring lol!

Go for it ReikiAngel :)
If you desire an Opal ring then I am sure that your intuition will draw you to the right one. Opals have been linked with bad luck, but that is mostly because being a water based stone then can dry and crack and break and so are thought unlucky. But modern methods of lapidary mean that we can wear Opals and they last longer if cared for properly.
They are a very absorbent ring and so can counteract any negative thoughts or energy directed your way and then they reflect it back to the sender. This makes them a lovely gentle protector :)
I want pics please!!! xxx
Opals promote friendshipandgood feelings. The gem of God, faith, love understanding compassion and creativity in relationships. It is compatible with the metal gold. However, I'm wearing an opal today that I bought whilst in the States made by North American Indians its set in silver.
Hope you find the opal you are seeking.

Hi Reikiangel. I'm not going to quote all of it (way too long!) but Judy Hall says of Opal:
'Opal is a delicate stone with a fine vibration. It enhances cosmic concsiousness and induces psychic and mystical visions. Stimulating originality and dynamic creativity, it aids in accessing and expressing one's true self. Opal is absorbent and reflective. It picks up thoughts and feelings, amplifies them, and returns them to source. It is a karmic stone, teaching that what you put out comes back. opal is a protective stone in that, when properly programmed, it makes you unnoticeable or invisible. It can be used when venturing into dangerous places and in shamanic work where stealth is required.
Psychologically Opal amlifies traits and brings characteristics to the surace for transformation. Enhancing self-worth, it helps you to understand your full potential. Mentally Opal brings lightness and spontaneity. It encourages an interest in the arts.
...
Opal shows you what your emotional state has been in the past, especially in other lives, and teaches how to take responsibility for how you feel. It encourages putting out positive emotions.
...
Position: Place as appropriate, especially on the heart and solar plexus. Wear on the little finger.'
I've dropped out some of the descriptions there, but do you know what - I read that and thought how completely perfect it is for you right now.
Wear it and reap the benefits my dear.
Love and peace.
