Question:
hello there everyone,
Can anyone help me ?is there any way you could help me a small problem i have to get the odd one out here yeah.
which of the following belong to the appendicular skeleton :
humerus, ribs, clavicle, mandible and atlas.
I thought the odd one out was the atlas but according to the chart or diagram it higlights the ribs as not being classed as that but part of Axial skeleton.
I may be getting confused somewhere along the line as i have done all my other course work without any probs but i am recovering from brain injury while doing this and i am working very well except these two damn questions i had a debate on.
So if you know what belongs to the appendicular skeleton from the list i gave it would help me greatly if you could let me know and that will be peace from me lol. I have checked a thousand links and found them and all the information but just keep debating from the 5 what belong to it and what does not as i am sure there is an odd one out.
I am sorry for aksing for help but i have no one to turn to for help.
Take care . (Empathy)
Not 100% sure but I think you are right with Atlas according to my book.
Sorry to hear that you have not been well and I do hope that you are on the mend.
Well done with keeping up with your studies you must be really devoted.
Take care and best wishes.
thanks muchly rose it means a great deal to get your help this one has been bugging me like crazy.
I was told i can never work again but i was told i would never do anything properly again and to that i say "my ass" i am a scottish woman and we are all born fighters in this world and at least i am trying as such. Positive thoughts if they are powerfull enough can manifest into reality and that is the power of magic as we all have it inside us somewhere and i dont see why i should give up as there as people that are worse of then myself as i can still walk and talk now and some others cant.
Thanks for your kind words and do take care

Not my best subject as a bit rusty but here is what I found out for you:
The Appendicular skeleton is the parts of the skeleton that includes the pectoral girdle, pelvic girdle, upper and lower limbs. (The bony structure that makes up the shoulder girdle, upper extremity, pelvis and lower extremities).
The Axial Skeleton:
Ribs
Clavicle
Mandible
(think Axis/line ie, the spinal colum and supporting bones, ribs, clavicle, jaw etc
The Appendicular Skeleton: (think sprouting off, limbs going out from the axis!)
Humerus
I hope this helps you. Best of luck and hope you are better soon.
With love and merry crimbo and HNY!
