Question:
Hey,
I'm in the middle of my Itec Beauty course and i was alwaystold i would be bring in my own client to work on during my exam in July.
Now i've heard today that this may not be the case and who ever i bring in will be handed over to someone else and i will get someone elses client.
I now feel sick to my stomach with nerves... My whole course has been a nightmarenow i'm dreading the exams in the summer.
Did you work on ur own clients during ur exams or did u have a stranger??
Vicci
with itec we got to work on our own clients but with cibtac and cidesco we dont but i think its up to the examiner, dont worry anyway the plus side is i found i was a bit more professional working on somr1 i didnt know but b sure ALL of u have ur clients well prepared!
best of luck

hi pinkprincess hi flowerhappy!
I agree with flowerhappy, I too had to work on "strangers" during assesments and exams and I too thought it was better - you do a more professional treatment, and it gives you the experience of being with clients you don't know. Sometimes treating someone you know can be off putting as you can be too complacent
good luck - I know you don't need it !!! you will be fine
hi pinkprincess,
I have recently finished my cibtac exam and now know that i have passed my exam. we all had stranger on the exam day, it is much better to work with someone that u dont know during the exam time because if u know the person, u tend to be more relax and chat more and forget abt lots of detail things that examiner might be looking at! so dun be worry and good luck!!;)
Hi,
I agree that it is better to work on clients you do not know - you tend to explain treatments to them and make sure they are ok - I've hear the examiners like this. I know with people I know, I became very complacent.
Erica - Congratulations on passing your CIBTAC! do you have any tips for the CIBTAC practical exam? what type of questions were you asked during the practical exam?
