Question:
I'm trying to find some garlic essential oil (for use as fly replellant!) but cant find it anywhere. Does it actually exist? Someone please help!
I am afraid i have never seen it on sale either, but i gather it is very rarely used due to its very unpleasant smell.
However if i do come across it i'll let you know
By the way lemongrass is a very effective fly repelent
This may be of some use until you can find the garlic lol
Thanks for the info.
I thought garlic would smell quite nasty to but its apparently a very effective fly repellent! I'll grab some lemongrass in the meantime, I'm using a citronella (he doesnt get photosensitive), tea tree and cedarwood at the moment!
Just a thought but I wonder about splitting a garlic capsule. I take a garlic capsule every day. Do they contain garlic essential oil - never thought about it before
I find geranium oil good for keeping away those pesky flies - and it smells nicer than garlic
Yes, Maureen, you are right. I found some information on garlic essential oil. As it doesn't smell too good to be used externally, it is not generally available unless in capsules. Taking garlic oil internally has many benefits including strengthening the immune system, digestive, system and heart.

don't know if you are still looking for it, but the link below stocks garlic oil.
Hope this helps
