Feeling Crystals
Question:

Hi there
I qualified as a reflexologist 2 years ago and have just started practicing - not many clients at the moment. I am somewhat embarrassed to admit that I still can't feel crystals! During my course someone else asked a teacher about this and she replied - it comes with time. I sometimes think I've found one, but it turns out to be particles on the skin surface or a grain of corn startch. Am I very fortunate to have some very healthy clients or am I just too insensitive?:(

Hi,
I think it will come in time as this is the same advice my tutor gave too. I manage to feel the obvious such as crunchy shoulder reflexes and lumpy sinus reflexes, but worry that I miss others. It's not always crystals that are felt - a tender stomach can sometimes feel a bit bubbly and kidney and ureters more gritty.
Just a thought - do you think you may be pressing hard enough, not so hard that the pressure is painful, but just enough so that you feel more than skin.
Im confident in time with plenty of practice, you will begin to feel things.

Thanks JoB.
I’ve tried different pressures from gentle to hard and I can feel all the other strange things that go snap, crunch and pop but I think you’re right, in time with plenty of practice I’ll feel the crystals.

and dont forget honey that it can be just a case of semantics, what one person may described as crystals you may be feeling as something else, if you are feeling everything else then you will be getting it, trust yourself.

It is true what TigerBee says. You are obviously feeling different textures and stuff going on in the feet so it sounds to me as though you're doing fine.
