Question:

I have recently done my Reiki 2 and would LOVE to meet my guides / angels. Does anyone know a good way of doing this? Recently, everyone I meet has had some kind of psychic experience, works in spiritualism etc.....I think someone is trying to tell me something!
Would love to hear of anybody's experiences.

When I did my Reiki 2 we were taken on a guided meditation and encouraged to meet our angels/guides if we wanted to. I wasn't expecting this and for some reason chose not to meet my guide as I have from early childhood been taught as part of my faith that I have a guardian angel so I for some strange reason didn't feel comfortable about meeting my guide in that situation. I don't have any regrets about my decision but do sometimes wonder what is holding me back. perhaps I prefer the mystery
I do believe if i were to sit quietly and the the intent then my guide would be revealed to me and often the last image that pops into my head before i drop off to sleep is a wolf. I wonder if there is any significance in that?

You do not HAVE to meet your Guides and Angels and, even if you ask to meet them they might deem it not appropriate for you to know them.
If, however you really DO want to try to get to know them better, meditate and ask them if they will make themselves known. Don't be disappointed if this doesn't work the first or subsequent times. Please be patient and, when the time is right, they will make themselves known to you.
And, Soar, it could be that one of your guides is a Wolf. A very strong and powerful guide and helper.
Above all - here I go again - Do not worry.

I have always been aware of guides by doing shamanism, but ever since reiki 1 and specially reiki 2 I have actually met and work with my life guide. It has been a hard journey and as soar says they will only come into your life if they feel it right for you.
I actually do dream journeys (shamanism) to meet guides but just simple mediatation and hatsurie will also ensure that guides can help and work with you, even if it is only on a "feeling they are there basis". My best advise is to just let it be known you are willing to meet your guide (s) and then relax and see what happens.

P.s: Soar it is great that you have Wolf as your guides - I have had my wolf guide for about 8 years now and he brings nothing but joy into my life (and dreams). My life guide actually tranforms into a bear (he appears human at times) also so I can see him in two differing ways which is great.

It has brought to mind an experience I had whilst doing Reiki 1 on myself a while back and was wondering whether someone could help shed some light...
I had lost faith in the 'Christian' church some time ago (brought up in the rigours of the Catholic faith and the culture of sin and forgiveness!) I had turned my attention to other faiths, in particular Buddhism and the practices of the Native Americans. In fact, if anyone had asked me about Jesus I would have said he was a very wise man touched by God.
However....when doing Reiki 1 one day (just before going out to the pub, so spirituality was the last thing on my mind) I was 'visited' by Jesus. I didn't see or hear anything, I just had this fantastic sense of 'knowing' and of deep love - I cried all treatment, but tears of relief and a sense of 'coming home'. I remembered how I used to speak to Jesus when I was a very small child and how he was a friend, and also how I used to struggle with my knowledge of Jesus and how he was portrayed by the church (I therefore rejected him full stop).
Does anyone think there is anything in this? It was WONDERFUL!!

You had a wonderful mystic experience. When doing your Reiki you were in a meditative state and, for that wonderful moment, achieved enlightenment.
You experienced the awareness of the God within you. We all have God within us but very few actually experience this with awareness. That awareness made itself known to you as Jesus. He was, and still is, a very highly-aware spiritual being and - as with other highly-aware spiritual beings such as Mohammed, Buddha, Guru Nanak, Mother Theresa, etc. - has only one wish which is to help everyone else attain high spiritual awareness or enlightenment.
Please enjoy the WONDER you experienced. It will never ever leave you and you will be the better for it and will continue to try to re-experience it again and again until you are able to experience it all of the time without any effort.
I am fortunate to have had this experience several times and am still working to try to attain the constant state of full enlightenment.
I wish you every succes in your efforts to attain constant enlightenment.

Maybe your experience is a sign that you can accept Jesus back in your life but do not have to also take in the "multi-pack" of the strict form of Catholic faith you have been brought up in.

I can't tell you how much your words have touched me....thank you so much! I still feel a real 'newie' with all of this and still seem to need reassurances - I AM working on this 'need' though - it's just that pain of a thing called an ego, methinks!
I do keep trying to have an experience such as this again - and am still trying to meet my guides - but I think I am 'trying' too hard. I think the answer is to TRUST the universe and stop trying!

There are many more people in this world who are seeking to find their enlightenment using and relying on their trust that they will achieve their desire.
This is making the world a better place. There will come a time when so many people are on this path that wars, terrorism and unrest will become unnecessary. What a wonderful time that will be. I believe that that time is not too far off.

I like it! (whatever you perceive 'god' to be - it seems a fab definition).
Paul, I too trust that a time will come when wars are no longer necessary (or as my signature says, this time is now - there is only now!) More and more people are 'remembering' their spirituality. I read the following points recently regarding the power of our thoughts and felt the truth spoke clearly through the words:
Your thoughts create the way you see the world.
Changing your thoughts will change your life.
Positive thoughts can change the world.
Negative thoughts create disorder and illness.
Thoughts influence other people.
Thinking positively is natural.
Positive thoughts make a happy life.
