Question:
Hiya everyone..i'm new to this site and recently have had my first Hot Stone Therapy which was amazing. I have acouple ofquestions that you've probably seen a thousand times but anyway would really appreciate any help and advice. Firstly, do you have to have any kind of "massage" training to carry out this therapy and if so which? and secondly does anyone know if there is someone in Norfolk that does this treatment. As you will probably guess from my name i am a Reiki healer and would love, if possible, to encorporate this with my healing.
Thanks in advance
Lorraine
Hi Lorriane,
Im due to do a hot stone course in March. When i booked mine i was told i could do a day course (like a conversion, i suppose) as im finishing VTCT in Swedish Massage which has thea+p in it. There are courses out there, i think which you can do if you have no prior training but are longer and cost more.
I think thats right, but i am new to this myself :)
Good luck, Claire Xxx
Thanks Claire...i will look on the www
Hi Reiki Angel
I would really recommend training with LaStone Therapy themselves on their 4 day course, because this is more comprehensive than other courses and was a great course. They also work with hot and cold stones, rather than just hot stones, so that the body is balanced and the client doesn't get overheated. There is a whole science behind the use of hot and cold stones and its benefits - which you are told about on the course.
This is also a great therapy to use with reiki - using the two together enhances the depth of healing of both.
Have fun!
Blessings

Thanks in advance
